yeah after reading up on the game and holding off opening it i read there WAS an easier mode however....

I dont think the zombie apocalypse comes with a FAQ LOL

I'm probably going to pick that up, as well as the last story, sonic colors, and probably galaxy 2 as well. Should hold me over for a bit.

Maden is very fun with the custom hot routes and easy playbook handling.
My problem is the buttons are reveresed compared to 360. So when the league I'm in starts back up I'll have a hard time going back and forth.

and is the framerate as bad as they say?

tomba.....play zombiu is great the story mode is good ..end game you trying to get the hell out of dodge....the survival mode is the same..but it only u if u die its over if u 5hrs in or 5sec it dont matter...very fun mode because one bad move its lites out....try it

Went to Wal-Mart to see if they had any games left over from Black Friday (none that I wanted) and saw 3 deluxe Wii U systems behind the glass. Thought about it for a minute and then walked away empty-handed. I can't commit to this system just yet.

Really thinking about picking this thing up. How is the gamepad. Is it cheap or well made? I am very intrigued by it.

Don't have one but despite concerns earlier in the thread mentioned by others it didn't seem cheap to me at all really in-store. I'd hit up a GameStop, Best Buy, etc and try it. Think there's a plastic guard you can put on it too.

Sounds good! I'm also gonna grab a few good wii games I missed out on (never had one). So far I want to get xenoblades. Any other recommendations?

Donkey Kong was good but that game was HARD. My kids really struggled with that one but it might make it more fun as an adult. I really wish Nintendo would add difficultly levels to their games for people. How archaic is it for a game not to have them at this point?

I personally was never that impressed by the Mario Galaxy games. It's a 3D platformer that just isn't as fun as the regular Mario game. Just my opinion though. Kirby's Return to Dreamland was a classic 2D side scrolling platformer as well and if you like the classic Mario you will like that game too. The kids LOVED that game.

Is there a way to play PAL games on the Wii U?

I bought my Wii when I lived in Australia and obviously some of the games were from there, including Mario Strikers which I really want to play.... but it's PAL.

Personally I don't think so. Mainly because I've had no troubles with playing it and having good results. Haven't had any screw ups due to it.
There's a video I captured earlier in thread. It's not as smooth as 360 but certainly playable.
Which the added gamepad stuff helps me overlook.
Of course my eyes are no longer HD

It doesn't feel "Cheap" to me. The first PS3 non rumble controller or the Saturn controllers felt cheap.. this one doesn't to me.
Time will tell how well it's made though.

Yeah I grabbed the plastic guard just for scratch resistance... and the always screen protector.. Just a habit to always get one of them.

These guys tested out dropping the Game Pad from various heights on things and it worked out pretty well. There is also a link discussing the slight rattling sound that comes from inside.
