This part I still do not understand why they continued locking a person's profile to one system. Iwata confirmed on Twitter that they are going to get this fixed in one of the future updates. What sucks with this right now is if your system breaks you have to send it to Nintendo to do the transfer. Hopefully they fix it sooner than later because the eshop possibly having games on there from all the Nintendo console era's is very enticing.

Again, I can't wait to see a 3D Mario and Zelda in action in HD. That will be what sells me on this system for sure. I was negative leading to E3 2012 about this console, but after E3 my tune has slowly changed.

Yeah hopefully one day they get a sensible system.
At least the one time I had issues (Wii) i was back up and running in pretty quickly.
Lots of games I'm looking forward to from Nintendo. Any 3rd party will be icing on the cake.
I've limited my purchases a lot with the 360 and probably not until the next Show will I buy a PS3 game. So the WiiU will help me get to the next consoles.

Just thinking about a 3D HD Mario instantly takes me back to the excitement I felt when Mario 64 released.

I'd consider paying $100 for that... No joke.

The profile stuff is just a japanese company not getting online services. Sony had problems with PSN early on, and now Nintendo is rough out the gate. What's the point of even having user accounts if everything is tied to hardware? I don't want to have to call and beg or ship nintendo a console just to manage my purchases.

it'll also be interesting to see how the feed the console with exclusives. They've had periods of droughts going back a number of consoles, which is made worse with their weak 3rd party support ever since the SNES. Now they have a HD console to develop for along side the 3ds.

So they Wii U wireless a seems a little weak. From my office to the living room is about 22 feet and the Wii U has trouble connecting even though it says all green. My iPad, phone, TV, PS3 all connect fine, but I had to move my Wii to the router for it to download the update.

Speaking of distances... I would easily pay for some kind of booster or extender to get a little extra range out of the gamepad.

I would love to play something like COD from the comfort of my bed before going to sleep.

not bad at all really. The Wii sold 600k in it's first week, but it's a different economy than in 2006 and the Wii actually had marketing for it.
