Re: New Nintendo Console in 2012?
Yep, well unless you include Link's Archery School or whatever shovelware that was.
The Wii gets pretty much no playing time at my house. I've always wanted to sell the thing, but they always announce a new game from one of their popular series' to make me keep it. Right now that would be the Kirby game, after that this thing goes away fast no matter what they announce.
On the topic of the new console, 512 MB RAM isn't going to cut it anymore. The Crysis 2 devs already stated how difficult it was for them to develop for the PS3 because of RAM issues. Hell, even games like NCAA Football have some issues with it. Really a bad design decision if they can't increase that amount. I'm pretty sure Microsoft and Sony will upgrade that area with their new consoles.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

I would be disappointed if Sony or MSFT have anything less than 4GBs of ram in the next consoles.
Especially how cheap it is, and how you can "never have enough".Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

That was Links Crossbow Training. An arcade style shooting game and it came with the Wii Zapper (gun attachment) for $20 or so. We had a lot of fun with that one.Comment

Re: New Nintendo Console in 2012?
I don't get all the negativity on the Wii. I got just what I expected out of it. Some fun motion control gaming (for a while anyway), great Nintendo exclusives and a few decent third party games.
I have to hand it to Nintendo for their innovation. First motion controls for the Wii. Now their next console having a tablet type device as a controller! Like an Ipad plus console working together. Could be huge.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

It does sound really interesting. I just don't fully get what the benefits of it will be.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Or I could be watching TV AND playing Wii 2 because it's streaming the game to the controller.Comment

Re: New Nintendo Console in 2012?
In an RPG, taking out the map and its in your hand or for managing inventory.
Spearate and in game mini-games. Like lock picking for example.
Customizing characters.
Ability to play games or parts of games away from the console.
As a keypad.
Internet surfing.
When you consider the popularity of ipad/touch screen devices, coupling this technology with a console sounds like a good idea.Last edited by Pete1210; 04-18-2011, 01:31 PM.Comment

Re: New Nintendo Console in 2012?
Usually, but now their new hand held is $250, their last console (Wii) launched for $250 ... so I can guarantee this wont see sub $300... and if it is in the $300 range, which it can be since it seems to be just barely improved 360 tech, the controller will be the money sink, but probably not as "high-tech" as people think, for the sake of Nintendo loving to almost 100% profit on their hardware.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

Could be used to call plays in Madden.

But something like being able to take the controller and basically use it as a portable console when you're away from the TV would be amazing. Web browsing would be pretty nice as well.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.
