The Wii U is marginally better than hardware that came out 6 and 7 years ago. That's a problem no matter how well the engine can scale and it will lead to severely limited ports (if the ports come at all).

The WiiU looks to be an almost catastrophic Flop.

I see Nintendo going Portable only and Software ala Sega in a few years.

Will be weird to see Zelda on a Playstation.

A library of videos, you had to flip through them all (maybe 20?) to see if the 'play demo' or whatever button would light up. At some point most of the kiosks I've come across in Walmarts and Best Buys were updated so that Rayman was no longer available to play.

Surely they'll be updated when the next wave of first party games hits and they'll make another big marketing push.

It's amazing how everything is getting delayed on the thing, even something like toki tori 2. Rayman was not only a highly anticipated exclusive, but it was the demo included with kiosks around the country.

Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage 2 will be the only retail game released on the wiiu in 2013 until mid march. The ps3 and 360 has sparse february releases after launch too, but they got a flood of third party support. The Wiiu looks to be a nintendo only box.

I just sold mine for $320 with Nintendoland and NSMBU. I took a loss, but Nintendo is botching this console pretty badly. They showed it off at two E3's, basically abandoned the wii years ago, nothing but NSMBU and delays of everything else is awful. Regardless of the tech, they haven't even bothered to market it at all.

I'll check back in a year or so and pick up the good nintendo games.

I completely understand you but you have to understand one thing. This is not a decission taken by the development team, this comes from really really high up, so please don't pick on the game.

If you're pissed, imagine how we feel. Think on the situation, we've been making overtime with this game practically since May preparing E3, and then almost a demo per month (gamescon, Wii U presentation, shops, eShop, etc...) and at the same time trying to actually finish the game. We had a first delay because it was obvious we couldn't finish on time but we gave it all to be there on February. What face do you think we had when the week we had to close the game we're being told it's not going to be released? I couldn't believe it.

For practical matters, you'll have to wait for some months for the game to be released and will most likely serve for more content to be added and do it better. For us, this means we've spent 6 months barely seeing our wifes, kids, and friends for nothing because, after all, such a haste wasn't needed. Believe it, it was a hell to swallow these news.

Even then I'm firm in what I said back in the day, Rayman Legends is an excellent game and will still be, and the team that's making it doesn't deserve to have your back turned on them just because some men in ties one day took a wrong choice. This industry is really that ****ty

The post is real. Afaik Zeta69 is Xavier, the guy at the stage on the last E3.

Ubisoft explains 'Rayman Legends' Wii U delay

"There are no issues with the game development. All of the information was in the press release, the only reason for the delay is to release on multiple platforms," Ubisoft public relations specialist Sarah Irvin said.

What's really sad is how the game will get sent to die in September. It's right before the holidays, Nintendo should have games out by then for the WiiU, GTA V is around then on the 360/ps3, and there's two next gen consoles coming as well.

Quite the laughable move from ubisoft.

Really disappointing to see the Wii U off to such a poor start. I really liked Zombi U, and I still play COD a decent bit, but it looks like the U will basically become my girlfriend's console.

I'll still check in on the exclusives from time to time, but I was hoping for a stronger showing in the first year.
