Dook, the numbers explain themselves. I saw a post a while back that said something like a 50 dollar subscription last year could have netted you like 2g's worth of products and games given to subscribers.
Me personally I got about 150 worth of games I actually played and enjoyed. Not bad. Plus the cloud storage is nice.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. Re: Playstation Network and Discussion - The New Beginning
What will happen to Plus accounts for those of us that aren't buying a PS4 at launch? I'm thinking of getting a year subscription, but not going to do that if Plus starts to get phased out with the PS4 launch.Currently Playing:

Re: Playstation Network and Discussion - The New Beginning
That's a good question. I think, if anything, when they switch to the "Playstation World" stuff, Plus subscriptions will be turned into those. Then again, who knows, I doubt the service just disappears for PS3, at least until several years after PS4 releases when PS3 usage drops.Comment

Have to agree with Burns. it seems plus has been a bit hit for Sony. Think they continue it through the next-gen. how they implement it I am not sure. I think we may found out at E3.follow me on twitter: www.twitter.com/eton_riflesComment

Re: Playstation Network and Discussion - The New Beginning
Interesting deal here in a big month gaming-wise:
What a start we’ve had to 2013! We here at PlayStation Network have no intention of slowing down anytime soon, and we have a great new promotion and a number of great digital titles coming your way starting next month. Starting February 26 and throughout the month of March, we’ll be offering you the chance [...]
Assuming this really is referring to the PS3 Show, it has me thinking about cancelling my Amazon order and going digital. $10 back off the combined cost of both, plus Star Wars Pinball this week at $9.99 is $20 back (or very close to it) and we're barely out of the gate in March.
God of War and Bioshock coming too in March, lots of opportunities for people to benefit from this.Comment

I received a $10 off coupon the other day, which I was going to apply towards PS Plus. But, if I do that, that would drop me below $50 total and thus, no $10 off for MLB The Show.
Although, I could use the $10 for The Show and pay full price for Plus and that would give me another $10 towards The Show.
My real fear is buying that game digitally. What's it going to be 12gb? Could take me 2 days to download that game.Currently Playing:

You'd still have to buy at full-price up front and then get the $10 kickback in April?

What I'm getting at is that I don't think the system would be able to tell the difference if that's the case, once the wallet funds are actually put towards something.
As for you other concern, it's a valid one - make no mistake, The Show is going to be a big download. It can't be any smaller than 10 GB because that's what the max install size was last year, and I'm even hearing rumors of it being 20 floating around. My guess would be around 15, honestly, but we won't know for sure unless we're told or we hit March 5th and it becomes available.Comment
