I know back in the day a buddy of mine worked at a store that got the games early and he would hook me up but he couldn't ring it up until after midnight of the release date, it was somehow blocked, I imagine it would be the same on this

for me that was back in 2003-2006...but it would have gone through the system fine to rent or buy pre-street - just that if it was caught there would be consequences. Not sure what was checked, automatically or not, but it was always something nobody wanted to risk.


Nowadays and at walmart, who knows. I would like to think all pos systems these days would be advanced enough for this, but who knows.

Anyone know why the controller I was using with my pc to do windows 10 streaming will not connect to my console now?

While it shouldn't be on the shelf, Rare Replay is scheduled to be released this Tuesday August 4th which explains why the store has the game already. Stores always get the game in their previous week's shipments. Sometimes, it's two weeks but normally, it's the week before.

Been playing the Magic game that's out in Xbox One tomorrow, pretty fun. Finally doing it right it feels like. No more annual editions, releasing sets/packs, f2p model. Out now for PC and iOS. PS4 later in the year.

As stated recently just bought an XB1. Downloaded Powerstar Golf. Is the lag normal while trying to hit each shot? Or do I need to adjust something in my settings?

So the streaming to windows 10 is pretty nice. Just wish it could:

1 - turn the console on...i know it can be done with smartglass, but would be one less stop
2 - could register a console to your app so then you don't need to be logged into the console to be able to stream (ala ps4 remote play.) As of now the only way to do it while not in the same room is to make sure your profile auto logs in on power up.

I have the game, haven't played much since last year but never experienced that. Do you have it on a TV input you haven't played games on before? Maybe your settings (such as not being in game mode) for that input gives you a bit of input lag?

Well.....it's not cancelled but it's not in active development either. Supposedly, Microsoft is looking for another developer to continue with the game. Was hoping that it would be at GamesCom next week but as of right now, that seems highly unlikely.

I can turn on the console w/ the Xbox App, seems inconsistent though, not sure if maybe my Xbox had updated and needed a restart or my app was out of date when it couldn't find my Xbox. Right now though I have the option to turn it on and a little cloud and moon indicating the device is resting.

The info I posted was from Aaron Greenburg back in June so maybe it will be at Gamescom. Since it's shown in the video, I would expect maybe a short trailer and info regarding the title. Obviously, it's not a guarantee but I would think that there would at the very least be some info about it at Gamescom because if not, why show it in that Gamescom video?

A few more days to go and either way, it should be good. I'm just hoping for long gameplay videos of Scalebound and Quantum Break.

Alright guys, I need to know. And I am NOT trying to start any kind of fan-war, just really looking for some input to backup my decision. Thanks for your help in advance.

Those that own both ps4 and Xbox One or have played extensively on both at one point: do you actually NOTICE a difference when playing cross-platform games? I've always read but never cared when people would compare framerate or resolution (because I've always had ps4). But when you are actually playing the game, is it noticeable?

I understand the type of response I will get being in the X1 thread, but that's fine. I'm just looking for honest feedback. I don't want anyone make my decision for me, just looking for as much info as possible before I pull the trigger.

My biggest concern is sports games. Madden and NHL mostly. I don't expect there to be a huge difference in gameplay between the two consoles, but you do hear about performance varying. Just looking for first-hand accounts.

I'm ready for Halo, I'm ready for the controller, I've come to terms with losing my digital library /trade-off in exclusives. Thanks again for your help, all.
