So just snagged the Xbox One from the Target 20% (w/ Red Card) off sale a few days ago. I'm looking to pick up any exclusives you guys would recommend. Most of my gaming is on PS4, so I'm really interested in the exclusive games since the launch that I can get on the cheap.

Dead Rising 3
Sunset Overdrive
Ori and the Blind Forest?
Gears of War 4 eventually
Forza Horizon 3 eventually

I'm really looking at DR3 and SO, any thoughts on those? Worth a $10-$20 investment?

Sunset Overdrive - I had zero expectations and absolutely loved the game.
Ori and the Blind Forrest - amazing.

Ryse is also a decent time for a few hours for very cheap now. So are some of the backwards compatible exclusives like Fable 2 and 3.

Forza 6 and Horizon 2 should be able to be had for cheap as well, since they're one and two years old, respectively.

Edit: forgot to mention that yes, SO and especially Ori, are great great games at the price you can get them now.

- Ryse: Son of Rome was the best exclusive on either console at launch. Very underrated. Took me around 8-10 hours to complete and what a gorgeous looking game. Can still give current games a run for their money three years later in visuals.

- Rise of the Tomb Raider is no longer a timed exclusive and if you don't care about the season pass content, you could probably get the game cheap now. An excellent game and my personal second best of 2015.

- Quantum Break was a disappointment to me but if you can buy it for $20, I would say that it's worth a play-through.

- Ori and the Blind Forest is arguably the best 2D plat-former this generation. Should be $20 or less on disc and digitally.

- ReCore is a decent plat-former shooter if you can get it for $20 or less. At $40, it wasn't worth it, at least not for me personally.

Later on -

- Gears of War 4 is easily a must play.
- Forza Horizon 3 is also a must play and im not even a racing fan whatsoever but what an awesome game.

On a side note -

Starting Sunday, Best Buy will be having a BUY 2 GET 1 FREE promotion on new sealed games for PS4 and Xbox One games. If you're a GCU member, the discounts stack. Can basically get three $60 games for $96 plus tax if you're a GCU member.

I see that new Xbox One S ad that says it's the only system that allows 4k streaming. Does that mean if I buy a 4k TV and with my regular Xbox One, I watch Netflix, it won't be in 4k? Or it just won't be as good?

It won't be in 4K on the original XB1. But that ad is misleading as the PS4 Pro also streams in 4K.

The XB1 S is the only system with a 4K UHD disc drive though.

You would need a PS4 Pro or the Xbox One S to stream in 4K. Neither original launch model can stream in 4K. There is a Chromecast Ultra that just came out this year that you could go with as well.

Your tv might be able to do it on its own though...what model TV do you have?

I don't have a TV yet, that's part of my decision making on what TV to get. I won't buy a new Xbox until Scorpio but I want 4K. I won't buy a TV until I get something that can stream 4K so unless I buy an Ultra or there's a good TV that can play it on it's own, I'm going to wait until Scorpio comes out.
