Wait, do you keep your external drive unplugged too or something? What's different about launching a game from another drive?

He's just full of it and in fanboy mode. He keeps his console offline and only buys physical, but he wants us to take his store critique seriously.

It's best to just put him in ignore. At least don't quote him so the many of us that do don't have to see his posts. He still successfully gets the board to follow him into console war mode, I'll give him that.

* Purchased the Storm Island expansion last week for $5 but missed out on the base game a month ago when it was $20. I wasn't going to bother with FH2 at all since I do own FH3 digitally but after seeing the Storm Island trailer and it being $5, I figured what the hell, why not? I have to buy FH2 base game and Blizzard Mountain for FH3. So im halfway there for both games. LOL. I also like PlayGround Games. Forza Horizon 3 impressed me to where this franchise will be my primary racing/driving franchise moving forward since I added this genre to my list of genres and will be buying Forza Horizon 4 next year day one guaranteed and im very interested to see the new open world IP that they're working on.

** While it's now a multi-platform title, I consider ROTTR to be part of my Xbox One exclusives because I bought an Xbox One (for the second time) just to play ROTTR as I didn't want to wait a year to do so on PS4. And it was published by Microsoft. Easily worth buying an Xbox One for.

Actually, I DON'T only buy physical. I have digital games. Nine games (will be two for Xbox One once I buy FH2) that are disc based major AAA releases and thirteen psn/xbl/indie games but only one of them is for Xbox One.

And the store on Xbox One is easily worse than PS4. Took me like ten minutes juts find Ori. Going through submenu and submenu. Sorry but the Xbox One OS/Interface sucks.

Yeah and I'd think my car sucked too if I only entered and exited through the trunk and didn't bother to learn how to use a door. And then go online and blame the car.

I don't understand what his complain about the Xbox OS is. It never ever chugs or slows down like it does on my PS4 pro. It's always smooth and, I can easily access the store or any other section by pressing RB a couple of times. Some people just love to complain for anything. When the Xbox one first came out I wasn't a huge fan of the OS, but now I have no problems with it.

Changing topics ... with EA Access, part of the subscription gives you early access to upcoming releases. Can you pre-load the install before the trial starts?

Before PS4 Pro, I was using the Samsung 850 Evo SSD as an external hard drive for the Xbox One Slim. When installing games, I had it setup to the SSD but when wanting to play a game, after turning on the console, I had to go to the left side of the screen and click on settings. From there, I had to go to the hard drive setting. Then, I had to select the SSD and from there, select Forza Horizon 3.

I mean what??? I have no idea what you are doing but you are doing it wrong lol. As said all my games are installed on an external hdd and every game and app shows up under "my app & games". It seems pretty straight forward.

I don't think so. If I remember correctly from last year we got it 5 days early and could use it for 10 hours. But we couldn't install until they made it available for the trial. Your hours don't start till you play though. Things may have changed. I'm not sure.

Yeah I have an SSD on my Xbox One and it's transparent. You don't have to do anything special to run a game.

All my games are on external drive(I'm 100% digital). The games I play most I just pin to home page. Others are all listed in my apps & games. So I don't understand that either.

For the store, don't think I've ever used it from the console itself, other than checking the free gold games as that is right on home page. Have always done it from mobile app or Xbox website.

Same for PS4 store. Don't think I've ever used it on console, just the mobile app.

Being off-line, the dashboard sucks, plain and simple...

Offline all you see is 5 recent games and apps, pins below, a box for my games and apps, and a box that said "You are offline". Sounds pretty terrible!

As for unplugging the SSD, yes, I actually unplugged it every time I shut down the Xbox One Slim...

Of course, it's all about personal preference so to each their own.

I usually get it through them, 42-45 seems to be the usual price.

I got it for free through bing rewards this year, if anyone doesn't use it I would highly recommend trying it out. 30 web searches and 20 mobile searches per day (that can be done in chrome on a PC.) Usually easiest to just click through all the top stories in the header bar. Keeps you up on the top news and if you are in a hurry, you can click through all of them in about 2 minutes or less. Bonus points for quizzes and bonus searches every day. With the points I get a $10 xbox gift card (9300 points) every 4 weeks or so. This spring I saved up to 29000 points for a year of xbox live (essentially $30 in xbox gift cards, so a pretty good value.) took me about 2.5 months to save up for it. I've been doing it for 23 months now. Total of $220 in xbox gift cards and a year of xbox live (along with some points redeemed for instant win games.)
