I mean I have to agree 1000%, don't unload the Pro for an S. Just because you don't have a 4K TV doesnt matter, there are still many benefits of the X even with a 1080p set.



I have both systems the X and the PRO and I love both equally. My son plays the X more then me these days and I play the Pro more, plus with games like Spiderman on the horizon, man getting rid of the Pro maybe a mistake.



Ill be honest, I have been more of an Xbox guy for most of my gaming years.



Ill tell you something, we hear and know how powerful the X is, and the PRO is also. We know the X has more power over the PRO. Ill be honest man, even with all the X's power, I have still have yet to see any single game on X that looks better then God Of War or Horizon, or even uncharted. So go figure this.

Almost EVERY multiplatform game I’ve played on both consoles looks and runs better on the X. Even this year’s madden doesn’t seem like it’s 60fps on the pro and it is on the X. That’s said, God of was looks great but it’s also 30fps. Just remember the X is capable of running those same games and at higher frame rate and added graphical textures.

Assassins Creed Origins on OneX is probably still the best looking game I’ve ever played. Horizon Zero looks amazing though. I think it was the best looking game I played up until Origins. Gears of war 4 is right up there too.

Where'd you hear this? Hopefully they can also fix the controller issues I'm having too. 5 xboxes in the house, and all have the issues. None are in the preview program or anything.



It's absolutely frustrating. Even connecting via USB cable, it'll allow you to play, but as soon as you disconnect from USB thinking the controller should be synced... It's gone again.

Damn 5? Lol.. how do you play all your games on all 5 consoles ? Unless you use discs..

While I agree that the multi-platform games look and run better on X than Pro, when you play games like God of War, Horizon, etc., there's simply no comparison as to which games are better. Power doesn't make better games. Better developers make better games. Funny thing is that the majority of the time, the less powerful console wins the generation. For example, playing The Frozen Wilds expansion for Horizon last November 7th was way more impressive than any game for X. It's simply better quality.

Frame rate wise, unless it's a fast paced game like Forza, Doom or first person shooters especially if it's online based competition, people put way too much emphasis on frame rates. A third person action game like Horizon and God of War at a locked 30FPS plays better than a lot of games that run at 60FPS simply because the gameplay itself is better.

To be fair, 2 of them are only for Youtube TV and the occassional game in the event we have someone over. They're the cheapest 4k bluray players, and 2 of the X's I got for $250 or less. It was a B to get them set up to where we could game share, and I now have 2 Gold subscriptions amongst them.

Listed my Pro on the normal selling outlets (OfferUp, LetGo) for trade. Guy offered me the 2TB S. Despite all your advice I found myself SUPER tempted. I stood fast though...

Gears 4 was great. Would have been my 2016 goty but I hated the last section of the game. That ruined it for me. Choosing Gears 4 over God of War is more of what do you prefer - cover based shooting or hack and slash combat in a semi open world?

I easily choose God of War but I would choose Gears 4 over Uncharted 4 especially when it comes to the cover based shooting mechanics.

Wow. You should just wait. Chances are the 500GB Slim will probably be $179 come Black Weekend. I wouldn't trade a Pro for an Xbox One Slim. That's like trading an X for a Pro. Why? Just why?

I didn’t make the swap but as far as an X for a Pro goes, some folks might prefer Sony like a guy might prefer iOS over Android.

I know, at the end of the day, for MY gaming needs the S would suffice. Additionally, I don’t necessarily need to own a PlayStation AND an Xbox. LOL

I agree and not only that, but Microsoft just bought 5 game developers so the games will come. It’s also nice to play my console in my bedroom and it being whisper quiet.

Oh ok.. I want to get another Xbox x, but want a similar deal like you got lol. Don’t want to pay $400 plus for another X. I also have a slim I might just sell on Craigslist and pay the difference for the X.

I personally own both consoles and prefer the UI on the Xbox over the PS4. The Xbox is constantly changing and improving while the PS4 looks the same since day one.
