I actually had played this last week not knowing it wasn’t a patch and thought to myself this looks horrible compared to the pro lol now it look crazy good

You are able to have multiple storage containers. Helps out a lot.

For some reason, I’ve had the itch lately to unload my PS4 Pro and get an Xbox One S. Probably since all my other consoles are MS. I know you might think, “why not get the X” but I don’t now nor do i plan in then future to get a 4K TV.

Well I’ve got Switch, Xbox 360 (For NCAA14) and OG Xbox (for NCAA06 & 04?). Don’t care much about the PS4 exclusives but I have purchased several digital games that would be wasted. But I’m not going to play them anyway so it’s a wash. I liked Gears when I test drove a One S earlier this year and also have some digital games in the stash on Xbox as well (Wildlands, The Division, Cuphead).

Having owned both you'd be in for a huge letdown. The S is nowhere near the machine the PS4 Pro is. Either get the Xbox One X or don't do it at all

I mean I have to agree 1000%, don't unload the Pro for an S. Just because you don't have a 4K TV doesnt matter, there are still many benefits of the X even with a 1080p set.

I have both systems the X and the PRO and I love both equally. My son plays the X more then me these days and I play the Pro more, plus with games like Spiderman on the horizon, man getting rid of the Pro maybe a mistake.

Ill be honest, I have been more of an Xbox guy for most of my gaming years.

Ill tell you something, we hear and know how powerful the X is, and the PRO is also. We know the X has more power over the PRO. Ill be honest man, even with all the X's power, I have still have yet to see any single game on X that looks better then God Of War or Horizon, or even uncharted. So go figure this.

That's fair.

I will tell you that the X does a bang up job of supersampling, to the point that the IQ on the X is better than the S. It down samples the 4K image to 1080p, which ends up looking bette than the 1080p or 720p image you get on the S. Also, load times and performance really is better.

I can't tell you if it is worth the extra $$$ or not, but you will be stepping down significantly in perforce between the Pro and S. With the X, you would get a bump up.

Thats your best bet.

Even if you don't have a 4K set, like I said you still win with the X, But man I just bought a beautiful gaming monitor that I use only for my Pro and it for me i love it more then both if my TV's that are 4K. If you don't want to break the bank for a new TV set, look into to a monitor, its well worth it IMO.

I would suggest waiting for Microsoft's next console especially if by then, you may want a 4K HDR TV. I do have a question, why did you buy a Pro if you don't own a 4K HDR TV and have no plans to buy one? Depending on when you bought the Pro, you probably could have purchased the PS4 Slim and Xbox One Slim for the same price.

If you do buy a 4K TV/monitor, make sure you buy an HDR set with 10-bit Wide Color Gamut. HDR is the true game changer. 4K resolution isn't.

Where'd you hear this? Hopefully they can also fix the controller issues I'm having too. 5 xboxes in the house, and all have the issues. None are in the preview program or anything.

It's absolutely frustrating. Even connecting via USB cable, it'll allow you to play, but as soon as you disconnect from USB thinking the controller should be synced... It's gone again.
