Isn't this technically the same thing as what it already is? Gold is $60 a year right? If so, that's $5 a month. Game Pass is $120 a year which is $10 a month. Where's the deal?

The only major difference is that you don't have to commit long term and can just do a month here and there for both services. Otherwise, it's still the same price and if anything, is more money because you can always get Gold for $40 a year and Game Pass is always on sale for $30 for six months.

Money wise, it's the same amount just applied differently.

Probably...people tend to like the bundles though, and I bet more people go month to month than we'd think.

I do Microsoft Rewards to try and eke out free months of stuff and that's been working a bit so far, otherwise I keep an eye out for sales.

Isn't it like 9.99 per month when you pay 1 month at a time? Why would that even be a thing? Because some people don't want to pay for an entire year or don't have enough disposable income for it. So now you package it with game pass and it ends up being a savings, or monthly payments at the cost of an entire year. Makes great business sense to me.

Believe it or not, there are plenty of people out there who like to use payment plans, especially when interest free or void of additional cost, over paying for it all at once.

I'd wager those people are millions more times common than people who, say, use a single ethernet cable and swap it between devices.

Probably meant on the exclusive side which I can definitely agree with but thankfully, we're getting Gears 5 in 6 1/2 months. Woohoo!!!

Yeah but the lack of high quality exclusives was well known, so hopefully it wasn't purchased as an exclusive machine.

If not, exclusive games are maybe 1% of all game releases and the large majority of AAA titles that show off high graphical quality are multiplat. Not sure how the lack of that 1% can cause you to not get your moneys worth when you typically are getting a much better version of the other 99%, at least on the AAA titles.

I understand Royal's Sentiment, I'm assuming this is regarding exclusives, but my Xbox 1X is used for Multiplats so I've gotten more than my money's worth.

With that being said, it's well documented the 1st Party games this gen for Xbox have been, for me at least, mostly misses. With this new lineup of companies now exclusive to MS, I'm optimistic.

Yeah, it's also well documented their investment towards resolving this gripe, and the non-generational strategy means the bulk of the titles released as a result will be playable on the One X as well.

Yeah, I couldn’t imagine owning the best console out right now and only firing it up for exclusives. I’ve played some of the best looking games I’ve ever played since the X dropped.

Yes, Im talking about First Party Games and, and No I haven't got my moneys worth, so are you saying your content with Your X just being the best console for only 3rd party games? If so that's good for you, but I'm not.

I own both the X and the Pro and I have gotten way more out of my Pro than my X. Its all about what console has the games, and MS has struggled with that going on 3 years now. Hoping Gears 5 is great as I love the sergers, other then that what has MS released, and please don't say CD3. I would consider myself a graphics whore, and all we hear about is the power of the X, and yet have I seen one game MS has released that looks remotely close to being better than any Sony exclusive.
