Yes, Im talking about First Party Games and, and No I haven't got my moneys worth, so are you saying your content with Your X just being the best console for only 3rd party games? If so that's good for you, but I'm not.



I own both the X and the Pro and I have gotten way more out of my Pro than my X. Its all about what console has the games, and MS has struggled with that going on 3 years now. Hoping Gears 5 is great as I love the sergers, other then that what has MS released, and please don't say CD3. I would consider myself a graphics whore, and all we hear about is the power of the X, and yet have I seen one game MS has released that looks remotely close to being better than any Sony exclusive.

Your logic makes no sense, man. You’re admitting you own both consoles like most of us do. Which means exclusives really shouldn’t get you that bent out of shape. You’re also admitting you do most of your gaming on the X while also saying you haven’t got your moneys worth. It just doesn’t add up.

I’d also say gears 4 and Forza horizon 4 are graphically close to being on par with the best Sony exclusives I’ve played this gen which are HZD and Spider-Man.

I use my OneX 98 percent of the time I’m gaming. The other 2 percent is Sony exclusives, PS VR or the occasional PC game. If anything I’m not getting my moneys worth on the PlayStation side but I wouldn’t even say that because owning a 400 dollar console was worth it for Spider-Man and HZD alone.

I own both PS4 Pro and Xbox One X but play all my games on PS4 Pro simply because it's my primary console. Whichever console I choose to start the generation, it simply stays the way. Last generation was Xbox 360 and this generation has been PS4/PS4 Pro.

Visually, even on a PS4 Pro, a multi-platform game such as what im playing now, AC Odyssey simply looks breathtaking and the draw distance is very impressive. Yeah, the resolution might be slightly lower even though im pretty sure that both are "dynamic" 4K, it's not much of a difference otherwise.

The main difference for me though is in regards to the dashboard for both consoles. LOVE PS4. HATE Xbox One. Literally. I miss the old Xbox 360 "blades" setup. That was great. Quick, fast, no clutter, etc. It was awesome. For PS4 Pro, I have a few folders and that's basically it on the screen. Of course, I am a minimalist in reality so I kind of want the user interface to be the same. I'm hoping Sony simply does a "copy and paste" job for their dashboard with PS5. I'll be so damn happy.

Outside of Mutant Year Zero, every multi-platform game was played on PS4 Pro. Only reason I played MYZ on X was because I still had six weeks of Game Pass and the MYZ was available day one so play it for free or spend $35 digitally on PS4. Great game but im happy I got to play it for free.

For this generation, im a Sony guy. They haven't let me down yet and have been on a non-stop roll with their exclusives since Bloodborne. Four years straight where every top tier exclusive is an 8+. It's insane in terms of quality. Of course, whether or not the games/genres in that four year span appeals to you is a completely different story.

As for Xbox in general, I am optimistic starting later this year with Gears 5 but my only concern is that outside of Playground Games, all the studios that they acquired are literally AA studios and due to Game Pass in which they need to have a steady stream of content (at least quarterly), im concerned that they will release smaller shorter games to accomplish that compared to bigger games that take years and years to complete.

Like I said in my previous post, we have Gears 5 in late October so im happy about that and Ninja Theory is all but guaranteed to show off their new IP at E3 in June. The only problem is that rumors have it being a far better version of that game "Absolver" which if true, doesn't interest me at all which means for me, their acquired studios would be 0 for 1.

While being published by Private Division (Take Two Interactive), Obsidian has The Outer Worlds which looks great and im looking forward to it as it will be their last multi-console game. InExile is developing Wasteland 3 so im looking forward to seeing how that's coming along since their reveal trailer a while back. Other than that, im looking forward to Gears 5 blowout at E3 and a gameplay trailer for Halo Infinite.

A lot to look forward to overall and this doesn't even include Nintendo or the vast majority of third party publishers. So many games to look forward to this year overall that I may end up with a 25 game year which would be a new record for me.

Two more months to go until E3 2019 which for me is also vacation week!!! Woohoo!!!

Really doesn’t need to turn into a comparison thread. Just don’t think it makes sense to say you didn’t get your moneys worth over exclusives.

Ricky, Always Respect your opinion on all you say, you think you got your moneys, And I don't. We definitely have different opinions, and I don't think its a bad thing at all. I do agree with Peter on all he said and I feel the same as he does.


I mean I own both systems because both offer something different, and I have never bought a console just thinking I'm getting a few extra pixels in graphics as I do with my X, that means nothing to me even though, and I'm a graphics whore. Bottom line for me is games and yes First party games mean a lot to me thats what makes me play a console, multi-plat games on both systems at the end of the day are the same to me. I love a system that is pushing out games I wanna play and MS just hasn't given this to me this Gen.

The other bells and whistles MS gives me with the X is great, but I only use my consoles to game on and nothing more.

You said you play muiltiplats on the X though correct? So it’s all about exclusives for you. So if let’s say....Microsoft owned Spider-Man. That would totally change you POV on the “got my moneys worth” angle?

It sounds like you could play 50 multiplat games on your OneX but since they don’t have 2 exclusives you love you think you wasted your money. Which you kinda have to see doesn’t add up math wise. That’s all I’m saying.

Probably meant on the exclusive side which I can definitely agree with but thankfully, we're getting Gears 5 in 6 1/2 months. Woohoo!!!

I rather spend 500 on a console that will give me the best visuals in a generation that last 5 to 6 years on 90 percent of my games in that span which are multi plats

Over spending 400 to play inferior versions and 5 to 7 good 3 day exclusives in 5 years
