There is a streaming app, you can stream a few dozen games from XCloud, and any game from your console.

I had to be in the Omega? ring of insiders...I unknowingly had one still in that thankfully. I'd removed my other one from a higher up cause it'd force updates all the time. Omega isn't bad.

Yeah, not sure that's still required and figure the process on that page will guide people to that point if it is.

It may be more open now, but 3ish weeks ago i had to flip my bedroom to Omega and it got it in there.

Love the console streaming, has me wanting a new tablet or something bigger than my Pixel 2 XL, but not about to invest cash in all this yet.

I'll be interested to see if it'll cost more for xCloud at all or how it'll all work out of beta.

Yeah, I held off on a Surface Pro X in part because the Xbox streaming isn't on Windows yet and I'd like to wait and make sure.

Totally...I think I've read rumors that they could add a streaming ability to older Xbox Ones from the newer ones? I mean it'd make sense to give your older systems capability for newer games.

I like having 2 systems now because I can't always hijack our living room one, but with the tv stuff moving away then I doubt my living room one would be used as much so might work out well.

The quality of the streaming is great though. I played Ori on xCloud on ok cell data and it was great.

Division 2 is 2.99 in Xbox (and other online) stores digitally...hard to pass up at that

Ok, Game Streaming to my phone is legit awesome. I've been doing it at night, lately playing Division 2 and it's really quality. I have my systems hardwired, so that probably helps, but the visuals and lag have been great on my end.

Definitely makes me more likely to get a Series X on release or soon and still using that to play the best games at the best quality, even if I'm not on a big tv.

Sony has to really compete with all this if they want to survive in the future.

Sony will be fine, just think they'll lag behind a bit and let someone else trail-blaze in the area. It's what they've done historically, dipped their toe in an area and then watch others as others execute better and/or succeed wildly. This has happened a number of times... IPTV w/ Vue (trumped by Google, ATT, etc), Streaming w/ PS Now (xCloud, others), handheld gaming or remote play w/ Vita (Switch, xCloud, phone-based gaming), instant game collection (Game Pass).

Yeah, that is a good point....Just a good thing for MS, but your examples show that companies get away without mind boggling things, so they'll be fine.

It makes me curious to check out the new Surface phone. I would assume it will be designed with this in mind. Not sure the first-gen versions will be worth getting, but it will be worth checking out before ditching my iPhone.

I still hope that streaming ends up on Switch (the perfect situation) but I'm not really sure it's feasible. Just something I would have been skeptical about prior for sure, but experiencing it shows that playing these games on a phone works well.

I finally got a bluetooth headset and it makes streaming even better! I know that's obvious, but otherwise don't really listen on my phone so had held off.
