With the Kinect-less Xbox One being announced, I will be heading off to GameStop sometime today and pre-ordering it. I have about 200+ in-store credit that was specifically going toward that, and I'm glad I waited. I think Kinect is useless. Hopefully I'll be gaming with some of you guys next month!

Re: Xbox One
I think the more options the better for us gamers, some people like to stay with good games or great games for a long time; or give us a chance to play some games we cannot plat on NG, ex. NCAA football or a baseball game like 2k, etc.

I gave my 360 slim to my son to let him start his own collection of games, but I hate having to drag the Xbox back out just to play some of my older 360 games. To some that's no big deal but I sure would just like to be able to put any game in I wanted without that hassle of all that.
Daughter has the Gamecube and 360 in her room. Day care/Living room has a PS1 and PS2.
Game room with the PS4 and PS3.
As a gamer I can play all era of games if they are good. Doesn't have to be the newest thingJoshua:

Re: Xbox One
Although I'm not a big Kinect fan, this news along with the 4-5 other "180s" Microsoft has made in the past few months is a real letdown. At least they were trying to do something different. Now we are left with 2 consoles very much like last gen only with a bit more powerful hardware - although even that is underwhelming...
How boring...Comment

Re: Xbox One
I've read several people on here talking about the price should be lower, how low a dollar? Lol.
It's like some type of punishment that gamers want to hand to Microsoft for their earlier blunders. If so, that's cool to each his own, but this if they only made the price lower bit sounds suspect.

I've seen people saying $349.99 is a good price point. I happen to agree with them, but that's neither here nor there.
Outside of Halo, Gears of War and Forza (potentially adding Sunset Overdrive to this list in the future, though it's yet another shooter) what sets Microsoft apart now?
If I were to ask you to produce a list of 7-10 reasons/game series why, for the same price, I should pick up an XBox One over a Playstation 4... would you be able to do it?badComment

Re: Xbox One
Two of my roommates have an XB1 and one of them has been having issues out of his. When you turn the console on and connect it to a TV via HDMI, the TV cannot receive video output/signal from the console. We tried mix matching HDMI cords, trying a different TV, etc.
We did a bunch of searching online and can't find anything about it. The only thing left to do is maybe try purching an HDMI -> VGA cord or HDMI -> component to see if it's the HDMI port that is the problem.
We also hooked the other XB1 to the new TV he had purchased and it worked without hesitation or issue. We're all the way in Japan so him sending it to the factory under warrant maybe be a bit of an issue so if any of you have heard of any possible solutions (I doubt there is one) please let me know.
I told him he may just be out of luck on it.
You can also try calling tech support or posting on the official support forums. This isn't my area of expertise, but hopefully there would be people who could help you.?The Bulgarian Brothers - a story of two brothers (Oggy and Dinko) as they coach in the NCAA and the NBA.

Re: Xbox One
I still need new games BUT the price drop plus BS would certainly get me closer to getting one. I have a few 360 games I will have forever (like I do with all systems) that I'd still be playing if I could. (Red Dead for example)

Game room with the PS4 and PS3.

I won't buy any games on it, but the Games with Gold are decent enough to let me kill time if everyone's asleep in the room lol Looking forward to Dark Souls!Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Not the game to play when everyone in the room is sleeping, unless you are very very good at resisting the urge to throw controllers and shout curse words at the top of your lungs.badComment

Re: Xbox One
You just get whatever system has your favorite exclusive. It's that simple really. Since ps2 I became a xbox guy because of gears. It's the best exclusive I have played. Has great campaign and even better multiplayer. The performance gap is not a big enough issue for me to worry about buying a ps4 just for the titles released on both systems. I own a wii u and a one because those two systems have my favorite exclusives. When I'm playing Tombraider I don't sit there and think the game runs a tad better on the ps4. I just enjoy playing the game because it looks and runs great on the one anyways.Comment

Re: Xbox One
The games are completely subjective obviously, If PS games interest you more than XB1 games then PS4 is the obvious choice for you. MS games interest me more and in the end that's what's most important and should be the deciding factor.Texas Rangers/Saints/LSU/Tottenham Hotspur

Exactly
When you grow up play 8bit,16bit, ect you don't think about that stuff. I think today's people are just a tad spoiled in my opinion
Can't go wrong with eitherComment
