Also, if this new SDK and GPU boost helps bring resolution parity with the ps4, only argument should be games. In all honesty arguing about 900p vs 1080p is kinda useless too since the difference is barely noticeable. Now all we need are these consoles to hurry up with the good exclusive titles, which in the end is all that really matters.

A) difference is subjective, but the result is always objective. 1080p is better. Hands down, no question about it. Just because you may not be able to tell a big difference doesn't mean others can't.

B) PS4 versions of multiplat games will still look/perform better. Two games at 1080 means nothing on its own because there are so many variables on the graphics themselves (draw distance, fog, particle effects, AA, etc.)

C) I whole heartedly agree that software is what matters, though it seems for all 3 systems 2015 will be the year that actually matters for them as that's when we'll see the true next gen exclusive trains starting to take off. Sunset Overdrive will probably end 2014 as the best new exclusive in my book, though, barring anything unforeseen.

It's all in what you do with the resolution, Ryse was probably one of the best looking games at launch and it was only 900p. There are other factors that you bring into the equation then just resolution.

Would they do it for the Master Chief Collection? If I was running the show, and I'm not, I would do one for Halo 5 only.

The only problem I have with the Kinect not hearing me is when my wife and mother in law are talking loudly, the xbox can not understand me saying xbox volume up over their voices

I still don't really use the volume controls voice wise. Use voice for mostly everything else though.

I think one of the big factors is Engine and Engine assets. Ryse on Cryengine 3 probably is one of the reasons why it looks so good even though it's only 900p.

Indeed. It's a visually impressive engine.

I was surprised to not see an announcement of Ryse 2 of some sort at E3.

Probably is in development and will be released as a surprise late next year like a few surprises for this year. Spencer seems to be tight lipped unless there is actually something to talk about. That's the reason why nothing was discussed regarding Gears of War. Spencer basically said there was nothing to talk about, but he's meeting with Black Tusk Studios later this month to see where they are.

Did you calibrate it with a little background noise going on? That's how it should be calibrated.

Speaking of volume up is there way to make it keep raising the volume without having to tell it to stop listening then repeat the phrase?

Mine only makes the volume go up by a very small fraction

Not sure about being able to continually say volume up, but you can adjust the increment per command by going to settings->display & sound and it should be an option under the "VOLUME" column.
