I don't have the external HDD, but the cloud saves work great for me with my 2 systems at home. Syncing is usually fast, and is really awesome IMO. Love how I can just go downstairs when it's free, or play upstairs if not...never even think twice about it.

Re: Xbox One
My feelings on digital is that they need to go all in with it. Make it significantly more beneficial to the consumer by offering something that trumps the positive of being able to trade in a hard copy.
EA, love them or hate them, is trying with Access. Maybe you could earn more discounts by your past purchase history being used as incentive for future purchases from that publisher.
Consumers will move forward with digital purchases if publishers are creative in making content available and easy on the wallet.
Personally, I've done a complete 360 on the subject. When I bought my XB1 last year, I bought physical games because of familiarity and them being cheaper. I then fell in love with instant-switching and not having to change discs, and went 100% digital from the summer until last week.
The Black Friday deals swung me back around to physical. One thing I can't stand about the digital marketplaces is paying high prices for old games. I picked up Shadow of Mordor and NBA 2K15 for $55 combined at retail. After I'm done with Mordor, I will flip it for one of the other fall games I missed (SO, FC4, Unity, GTA V), which will all be discounted at retail by the time I'm ready to trade.
So now, my plan is to go digital only for long term games (Destiny) or games that have a good digital sale (Titanfall). I still like the convenience of digital, but physical games offer better value at the moment.Last edited by greenegt; 12-02-2014, 12:12 PM.XBL: Mean Greene

Absolutely agree. Unfortunately, it seems the platform holders and game publishers are still beholden to the old retail model, so it may be awhile before they commit to doing digital distribution, correctly.

So annoying to truck the discs up and down stairs, but just can't ignore the savings...If I could use GCU on digital I'd really consider, but I'd even more love if MS opened their digital trade in marketplace...halfway of what they wanted, but the ability to trade in and buy used digital would rock.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

That's where I'm at with the sales. They need to price match, offer deals of their own and show the digital interested consumer there is value. Not charge 59.99 for a game that is long past release.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

Not this time, but they did have some nice prices. We need way more of those kinds of sales.XBL: Mean Greene

I grabbed Valiant Hearts: The Great War for $3 (it was $8, and I had $5 from Bing reward points). I hear the story is great and it's quite fun to play.?The Bulgarian Brothers - a story of two brothers (Oggy and Dinko) as they coach in the NCAA and the NBA.
?Ask me about the Xbox Ally handheld - I'm on the team that made it.Comment

Bought Titanfall Deluxe edition for $12.49. Came with the season pass and all the map packs. It’s easier to do the right thing, than to explain why you didn’t.Comment

Re: Xbox One
Just snagged Metro Redux for $33.16 via Games with Gold. Been waiting on this baby to go on sale and I was pleasantly surprised to find it on sale after Black Friday and Cyber Monday, heck I was gone eventually buy it for $49.99 which is a great deal to two triple A like games.Last edited by Mr.Smif; 12-02-2014, 03:35 PM.Comment
