My son and I have really enjoyed the PS4 launch. I had gotten the system updated and had an hour or so to play before he got home. He has no idea we're also getting the Xbox One for Christmas. Going to be a hard wait from 11/22 til 12/25 but the look on his face is going to be worth it. An expensive month but definitely worth it!

My GS warned me when I pre ordered I might only have 12 hours to pick my PS4 up based on demand. I the end they were willing to hold it until EOD Saturday.

Just call them, they'll be able to reassure you and give you exactly how that location is handling things.

Did you have to pay it off, or can you do that when you get it Friday?

I don't want to do Midnight release. I'm too tired now with a 2 month old at home.

I'm not sure. I just went in today and paid it off and told them I'd come in Friday morning. Not sure they would accept that had I not paid it off.

Question for anyone who preordered at Gamestop - Do the preorders come on a first come first serve basis? Meaning, is there a chance I miss out on getting my preordered fullfilled if I don't go to the midnight release?

Went to Gamestop last week to pay on the One and dude told me they were doing a midnight release and I may want to get there early. Told him I work and i'm not coming to get it till Friday, he was then like ok get here early cause its first come first serve on them.

Basically didn't like what he was saying, felt it was BS so he said I could call the manager later. Did so and the manager told me that he was mistaken and I would have the One on the 22nd, it will be held for 48 hours

Anyone know what the DLC is that comes with Day One Edition? I'm sure it's something minor but Amazon doesn't really explain it

Has anything been said about Assassins Creed 4 patch for One? I'm probably late to the party but I see PS4 got an anti aliasing patch and resolution boosted to 1080p, I know the anti aliasing is coming but can't find anything about if the resolution is going to change.

Just curious, already have my PS4 so if it's likely to stay at 900p on the One I might just pick it up on PS4 since I don't really have a launch title I'm that interested in for PS4.

*Edit - I'd ask in AC: 4 thread but I don't want to chance it and come across any spoilers.

After reading about how much problems people are having with the PSN being down and spotty so far, I am glad I made the decision to stick with Xbox. XBL is still far superior.

Another sad thing is I still have a 720p tv. It's a flat screen 42" that I have had a few years because I got a good deal on it but I hope it doesn't effect the new gens that much

Being a new system though I wouldn't be surprised if Xbox Live has some issues as well for Xbone launch.

Like the PS4, I expect the One will be connecting to new infrastructure being stressed for the first time.

I'd fully expect XBL to have the same issues.

It's always this way when something big online launches. PS4, FFXIV, GTA V:Online, WoW... Basically anything that has a large number of users connecting at once. Nobody has been able to master the art of the launch yet.

WTF? What would be the point to me even preordering then and paying off half of it 2 months ago if I'm not guaranteed it on day one?

I hope XBO launch is better for me than PS4. Damn thing is a $400 paperweight. Sending back to Amazon for a refund and reorder it "when it's available". Sony wants to take 5 weeks to fix? BS! Amazon will have one before then.
