Well, I got the Miracast thing to work. Problem is that my display is cut off a bit at the tops and bottoms. I'm going to assume it's more an issue with my TV.

XB1 to Windows 10 streaming demo. CAN'T watch TV on main screen while doing this - at least for the initial release. Slightly disappointing but I'm sure they are working hard on it.

I would have to think it's possible, they're just trying to make sure it doesn't break anything....essentially you'd just have powered passthrough, which is good enough for me...

              Re: Xbox One

Anyone had any luck running their 360 through their One? I am trying for a few reasons, one being that I have to use the 360 dongle for optical audio with my hdmi as my 7.1 Onkyo doesn't passthrough sound, only video.

So, switching inputs makes my 360 reboot and it wears me out to no end. So, running it through One, I can eliminate the dongle on 360, no more reboot. But, I have lag now playing 360.

I did some research and set me 360 to 720p and also set my tv to Game mode but still just laggy enough to not be enjoyable.

Wondering if anyone had any luck with this set up? (complete set up has a 5 hdmi in, 1 out powered adapter, hooked to the One with my 360, PC and Cable all set up so my One really does control it all through the TV app, which is awesome).

Right now, the latency through HDMI is probably too slow for twitch gaming. Watching TV is fine, but doesn't need the sub-100ms latency required for gaming.

We're aware of this, however, and how it could make people's lives easier.

Thank you for the quick reply. Much appreciated. Loving the One. Had a few beers the other night and came up with my hdmi switcher theory and putting everything in my One. But the lag def will put my 360 back into the tv.....for now.

Thank you for all your work and also communication here at OS. I don't post alot in this Xbox One thread but I read it everyday and many of your other replies have helped.

Damn. A couple of these new features have sounded cool but then in reality they are kind of useless right now. The only reason I can think of steaming a game to my pc screen is so I can still watch tv on my big screen. If I can't do that I don't even see the point. Hopefully it gets it worked out along with iOS working for the screen extender.

A relatively inexpensive powered HDMI splitter would solve that problem of being able to watch TV and game on a PC at the same time. Split the HDMI signal from your STB and run the output to your XB1 and to another HDMI input on your TV/Receiver. Change inputs on your TV/Receiver when you are streaming to a PC.

I use this one (and its 1x4 brother) in my setups and they work flawlessly.

Or go the even cheaper route and run component cables from your STB to your TV/Receiver. I haven't come across a STB that restricts its output to a single output at a time.

Is there a way to group friends? I wish we had that feature if there's no way to do it on the console.

Finally got a One today. I got the AC Bundle. I was all set to get a PS4 and then for my birthday my wife (maybe confused) got me all sorts of xbox online gift cards. I couldn't say no, so I let that make the decision for me to go One. We've lived on our 360 for the last (3) years, so I think we'll be all set.

Anyway, I downloaded the free AC games, and I'm going to pick up the $24 Madden 15. I need a sweet single player game to play and I am up for suggestions. The gorier and more horrifying the better.

                            Please advise.

Gory? Probably Shadows of Mordor or Mortal Kombat X.

                              I don't play scary games.

I'm kind of on the fence between Far Cry 4 (never played one before) and Dying Light. Both are probably $60, so the more bang for the buck the better. FC4 doesn't appear terrifying, but I read that it's stunning.
