If you have no kinect the only advantage of plugging in cable box is having ability to watch tv and game at the same time. like playing a game of madden and watching my giants game on snap function.

If you have a kinect like I have and I recommend to all to get used or new. It makes a world of a difference.

I can have my tv and cable box and xbox one and surround sound system turn on with me just saying xbox on.

I can have my xbox one turn on to only a full screen setting of my cable channels. With Kinect there is tons of awesome things you can do that I could not rock xbox one without it

Okay...thanks guys. If you have Kinect, it makes a huge difference but if not, it's minimal. Now I know why the cable box gets connected to the console. That was bugging me so I figured that I would ask. Thanks.

There's a button in the top-right corner of the screen. If you're in full-screen mode, it's right next to the button that looks like the controller's "Options" button (which will show network information for the stream).

The kinect has an IR blaster that turns on or off all your av components and TV when ever you turn on or off your Xbox. I love that feature. The voice control is pretty cool too.
NBA2K is the standard of sports games period.

Yup...I have seen tons of people who hated the thought of Kinect coming around on many forums and conversations. Once they stop treating it like a failed video game component and treat it as a tool that opens up the xbox one experience to another level they will love it.

Kinect is a wonderful piece of equipment for those that value their purchase and not just act like it is a gaming machine period. This would be fine 10 years ago but in the era we now live in with social media and technology being so prevalent the Kinect makes the xbox one experience wonderful.

I could not bother with the xbox one without it as it would just be a boring console.

BC as a feature isn't generally available until the fall, yeah.

Gears 1 today for preview members if you own it.

I'm sold, only played the first.

I'm in preview. Don't see the point in playing gears 1 right now though. With it coming out remastered soon. Have a few buddies who are not buying gears ultimate because of no horde mode. Think they are just going to redbox ultimate in the fall to get the old games.
