Re: Xbox One
I feel like pictures don’t do these games justice. I was playing madden and I normally skip through the replays, but they look so good that I watch everything now lol..

Re: Xbox One
Screenshots definitely don’t do the game justice. And it plays so smooth on the One X.

Re: Xbox One
But I like the TV integration because it saves an HDMI slot, which is useful because I use a sound bar instead of an AVR. Also, it is nice to be able to bring up the guide while watching TV, which you can use to launch a game, send a message, or launch any of your streaming apps. I mean, folks always like to talk about how quickly they can do stuff in an OS, and the TV integration really makes it easy to jump in.
And with Dolby Atmos, you know get some pretty amazing sound from your head phones, including when you watch TV, just by plugging any headphones into your controller. There is also a new batch of headsets coming out that leverage Microsoft's new wireless sound. Wit those, you won't need to connect to anything, or even add a base station, to get wireless sound to your headsets. I watch a lot of late night TV, so the Atmos sound has been pretty great.Comment

Re: Xbox One
Thanks guys I leave it thru the Xbox. I don’t know if my eyes are playing tricks with me but it seems that it looks different idk.
You won't get a better resolution, although it will upscale. When I got a 4K TV, I thought it looked better. But it might have looked just as improved wit the TV's upsaler as it did with the Xbox One S. Although I mostly get 720p from Charter, I think. Not sure if Progressive images upscaled better or worse than Interlaced.

Re: Xbox One
But...if you really want to do it, do it properly. ATMOS is spacial sound. It envelopes you in sound from everywhere.
I.e. You need space. Get a real set up with overhead / upward firing speakers.
Get at least 7 speakers.
I have heard all the best soundbars and, to be blunt, they are not even remotely close. Go with a real set up. Speakers...lots of them...and either roof speakers or upward firing ones for overhead sounds.Comment

I have an ATMOS set up....it is absolutely fantastic. Sound goes to a whole new level of immersion. Amazing.

Any recommendations on speakers? Price range? Thanks

Re: Xbox One
Right up to mortgage your house and sell a kidney type expensive...the really high end stuff can cost more than a car.
All in one kits well worth it IMO....not too expensive, whilst also practical.

That one is excellent...a bit expensive.
Smaller ones, 5:2 are much cheaper.Last edited by Walt Frazier; 11-18-2017, 09:02 PM.Comment

Re: Xbox One
These are the ones I have. They sit on top of my tower speakers. I'm sure there are better, more expensive options, but these work really well and are relatively affordable.Comment

Re: Xbox One
I have a 7.1.2 in my theater room, but do all my gaming on my OLED downstairs. Love the Atmos setup though.
