The replacement PS4 is now auto ejecting discs once again....

There's a 54 page on their support forum that is basically just the auto eject issue.

Have you ever manually ejected a disc? I wonder if its a matter of that and the power button being like hairpin triggers, and are just too sensitive. Maybe check it for debris?

Nope, I never use the power button or eject button. Everything is done by through the controller.

Wow, QVC trying to gouge the **** out of people.

PS4, Call of Duty, 2 HDMI cables (why?), and a carrying case for $800

PS4, Knack, COD, Killzone, 2nd controller $780

So $340 for 2 HDMI and a carrying case, the other is just straight $140 over MSRP.

Just noticed there's like a rubber foot just underneath the eject button. If you touch it, it ejects. Why would they extend the eject button to the underside of the PS4???? I'm going to try putting something underneath my ps4 so it's not touching the table.

EDIT: Or not, for some strange reason. I unplugged it and everytime I touched the bottom it kept beeping. I turned it on and tried touching it and nothing happens.

I think it's funny how QVC gets knocked for this when that's a better deal than a bunch of these console flippers could ever even imagine offering (at least for the 2nd one.)

Mike you have it laying horizontal? I've had mine in the vertical position since launch and have used only the console eject button with no issues.

What I'm brainstorming here. If that rubber foot (I need to check mine I don't remember seeing that) is making contact with the eject button, could your surround sound unit cause the entertainment center to vibrate and thus fool the console into thinking you pressed the eject button?

After looking at my ps4, the rubber foot on mine is pushed back a good half inch or more away from the eject button so it never comes in contact

My best buy is selling a bunch tomorrow so I think Ill get one. I have 300 in gift cards from there so I wont be spending alot.

Couple questions...should i get the BB protection plan, get a warranty from somewhere else, or just skip it?

Should i get the Ps+ from best buy or online somewhere?

Im mainly just a sports/racing fan? What 2 games should i get? Skipped all sports games on ps3 this year. Usually get madden, pro evo, nhl, and still play ch2k8

I think I may be getting a PS4 earlier than expected as a x-mas present.

I have a psn from my ps3 but it was not a PS+ account, do I need to do anything in terms of upgrading it before I sign into the PS4 or will I be able to do it when I start up the PS4.

Don't wanna lose any trophies and friends I have from my ps3 psn.

1.) Absolutely cover your console. Too many things can go wrong with this first batch. Which to get depends. I know you can return at any Best Buy store for their service plan which is nice. Also you need to decide if you want accidental damage handling on yours as well. Guys here do give out codes for Square Trade discounts all the time, so just keep your eyes pealed. You should be able to get an all inclusive deal for about 40-50 bucks tops.

2.) PS Plus pops up for between 29.99-39.99 all the time for a year. I got 3 months (for 17) the day I got my PS4 so I could hop on day 1, then I got a year for 29.99 on black Friday.

3.) For games: I'd say Need For Speed has been a real pleasant surprise and I would do NBA 2k14 especially if you aren't doing myGM. I love FIFA this year, but if you are a Pro Evo guy, you may not enjoy some of the tactical aspects of FIFA, particularly on the build up of play in the attacking 3rd. Plus attacking with Fast Wingers and going for headers with big strikers has been overexploited in game. If you like using Tika-taka passing play you aren't rewarded or if you like sitting back and hitting on the counter attack, you just get punished. The Counter-attack for sure needs some overhaul in FIFA.
