    Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion

I bought a ps3 fat because of backward compatibility. I missed out on the PS2 era completely because of Everquest. I ended up not playing much from the PS2 catalog because I'm shallow and like shiny things, my nostalgia got the best of me and should have waited on the purchase.

They've flagged your PSN ID because they know how many times you've sold a Playstation console and switched back to Xbox.

I mean let's be real. While the graphics may not be on par with current gen, slot of those old PS games were mad fun and had tons of replay value.

Those were the days before patches.

Plus, in my younger days, obviously couldn't afford every single game that I wanted to play. So I might've missed a couple of good ones and classics.

If the price is reasonable, I have no problems signing up for PS Now.

Heck, people went out and bought launch day PS4s with like 6 games and come on here complaining about how there aren't any games out.

I can't wait for this to launch.

Just a shout out for PS4s reliability and OS stability.. I got Xbox One for Christmas and I love it, but it's driving me nuts with the bugs and crashes!!!

It certainly has potential to be better than PS4 in the future, with all the extra features but when it comes to the present, at least in terms of a stable OS, the PS4 is the clear winner.

                          PlayStation 4 Discussion

So Consumerist has an article up where they tried out Playstation Now.

Overall they felt it worked well. Also Sony seems to like the "Netflix for gaming" analogy for the subscription version of the service.

Also this bit might help calm the people upset about backwards compatibility:
The big question is whether PS Now will allow people who already own PS2 and PS3 games to play those titles online without having to re-purchase the game or pay a fee. Both Sony and Microsoft currently charge a fee for owners of certain previous generation games to upgrade to the new-gen versions of those titles.

Sony tells Consumerist is has not yet made a decision regarding that option, but that it hasn’t necessarily shut the door to the possibility. The company rep says these decisions will likely be made based on user feedback during the upcoming closed beta.
This is a bit different from what they said yesterday about previously bought PS games not being available for free on PS Now.

To me that's an answer designed to prevent it from becoming a headline.

Licensing will be key to games like that being available, from music to characters, I don't think the ability to use music and likeness is typically indefine.
