PS4 should arrive tomorrow, weather permitting (that's a big concern because we've already got 8 inches on the ground with potential for some more tomorrow).

I swear I might never order any non pre-orders with expedited shipping again if the free option gets things delivered just as fast - this thing is a day ahead of the 9th-14th estimate (which in itself is a short trip for free shipping).

Playstation streaming service is called Playstation Now and it isn't free. Subcription fee or pay for each individual title. Sony double dipping. Pay for Playstation Plus and pay for Playstation Now.

I'm not sure why anyone would expect this to be free. Quite a massive undertaking in my opinion. I don't mind paying for this if the gameplay quality and selection of games is good.

I never expected it to be free, but I have heard others thought it would be free ever since they heard of it at E3.

"The idea behind PlayStation Now is simple: you will ultimately no longer need to keep a PSone, PlayStation 2, or PlayStation 3 around to experience games from those consoles. PlayStation Now will allow streaming of classics from those systems to not only PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, but to televisions, tablets, and smartphones. 2014 model Sony Bravia televisions will support PlayStation Now when it launches, but PlayStation Now will ultimately scale to non-Sony devices as well."

Nice. I guess I don't have to worry about nothing being released in the Summer. I'll be powering through some PS3 backlogs.

I never expected it to be free, but I have heard others thought it would be free ever since they heard of it at E3.

I figured it would either be sub or we'd be paying for the games individually.

However, me keeping the PS3 until Persona 5 means I won't have any need for this service for quite some time.

Hopefully it means, you pay $100 a year and you have unlimited or something along those lines. Because if it is subscription I want unlimited, not a set number.

If it's unlimited and there is a meaningful selection (initially more than a couple dozen first party titles) then I think it'd be closer to gamefly pricing, which is $16/mo. Maybe bundle it with PS+ for $20ish/mo.

I just hope it takes off and is successful. I remember when Sega had a streaming service during the 1990s and it didn't last long at all.

Man Sega was just way ahead of time amaZingly.. I miss that company so much.

I have dish.. but every tv is covered with a hopper or joey. Does that mean I can get rid of one of them lol

And they haven't released it in Japan yet. Wow!
