I'm not a huge fan of any one particular console, I own all of them...and buy games on them all....but what worries me a little is if Sony destroys Microsoft then effectively we as gamers, even PS4 gamers, are going to lose...

I mean Nintendo isn't going to be able to compete, it's apples and oranges really...

MS needs to step up their game and quit banking on one game, Titanfall, to turn the tables IMO

Guys, remember when Sony was kicking Nintendo's teeth in and SEGA failed right out of the market and then video games literally died because there could be no alternatives aside from PlayStation? I

I'm being a little tongue in cheek, but people say all the time about how terrible the state of gaming would be without Microsoft to compete with Sony. Did you think that the state of gaming was really bad when the PS2 was the only really successful console of that generation?

I'd say it was definitely a contender for the best generation, due to the amount of varied stuff that we got year after year. We only really got sports games as yearly titles and there were tons of things if you were into a different niche.

Rumor is that Microsoft is really trying to sell Xbox and Amazon is in serious talks with them about it.

^ I agree man. Titanfall looks like a nice game, and I would probably buy it if it were on PS4.

I hope it succeeds, it will force Sony to step their game up.

Competition needs to get more fierce in this market.

One of the NeoGAF insiders has already said that EA is in heated talks with Sony regarding bringing Titanfall to the PS4 (they made their deal on the assumption that the Xbone would be the best selling console of this generation and must have seen the numbers as well - also, all their games are selling better on the PS4). Microsoft is trying to respond by trying to get deals for advertising/DLC similar to what they have with Call of Duty.

Personally, the game is not for me. I played some of the PC beta (if you're curious, you can get a beta code by asking support with your origin account for one) and I was right about the bots and the smart gun (autoaim headshots) being hilariously broken. The fastest way to win an attrition match (their name for Team Death Match) is to get the smart gun and farm the bots. You end up way in first place, get the first titan and contribute the most to your team winning, without fighting other players. You only fight them if you need to, but the thing is, you don't need to. It is way more effective to kill bots. Associated Youtube video of what I'm talking about.

And the Titans themselves? It seems to be much more beneficial to never be inside a Titan at all. You effectively double your firepower by not being inside of it and just having it follow you around or guard. They also have terrible maneuverability and go down in 3-4 hits from the starting gun that all players have.

Also, it's kind of funny that Titanfall is said to be the game that will save the Xbone despite the fact that it's being released on two other mediums (PC and 360) and the game's best version is on the PC. Watch the twitch.tv archive of the giant bomb live stream from two days ago where they were absolutely bashing the Xbone version of the game ""Look at that fog on the Xbox One... are you playing an N64 game?" "I think those textures are from Quake" then upon booting up the PC version admitted that "oh yeah, this is WAY better".

And about the "infinite power of the cloud", the servers were down for hours during a controlled beta, so no one could play for a while. That and the bot AI is absolutely terrible, so I don't know what sort of AI processing is supposed to be happening for them on the cloud, because I don't see it at all.

If true, I wish I had Amazon stock then. Could you imagine? Amazon would be able to advertise right into your living room through the XBox1. Besides gaming deals, you get all kinds of deals and specials. The media interaction instead of the gaming is what they would be purely after.

Couldn't agree more that we NEED the competition! It's the only driving force to become better. And while its pretty crazy about Amazon inquiring to buy Xbox, it may actually be a good thing.

Having started out Sony with PS1 then to xbox and 360 I'm back to Sony on the Ps4. Outside of an outrageous price drop/MUST have game I have no intention of buying a One. However, seeing it fail in spite of the hating M$ really doesn't benefit us as a whole as gamers.

It's a soon to be released exclusive that many are interested in but won't be able to play unless you have both consoles. I'm sure we all have our eyes and ears glued to something that's in a way considered "new" to gaming, especially when they're exclusives.

Received my PS4 yesterday from Amazon. Really enjoyed the 1st night. I played a few games of Madden, the system came with a $10 code for PSN so I upgraded Ghosts, and I downloaded Outcast. Today I hope to set up and check out remote play with my Vita. So far I am impressed, but I have never been disappointed in a Playstation product. Now if only Uncharted would hurry and get here!

The Top buttons come out without having to take the controller apart. The guy in the video makes it way more complicated then it had to be.
