No offense, but curious to know what were you expecting?

I like 14 a lot, but I find it pretty unacceptable to have slow framerate during cutscenes on the PS4 version of The Show. Maybe unacceptable is the wrong word because it doesn't affect gameplay, I guess shocked is what I am. The game definitely needs a large step forward in presentation and all the dynamic commentary and stat tracking that goes with it. Maybe we'll get that when they don't have to concern themselves with a PS3 version as well.

Jazzman, did Samardzija come out with an injury or did he stay in the game?

The stadiums look great (from what limited amount of time I've seen anyway). Player models seem to be on the level with NBA 2k.

I think that the stadiums and far away shots are stunning in The Show. 2k has the beat with their faces (mainly due to texture), hair and player models. I have only played one game so far... I was using the Indians and Jason Giambi looked like Arnold Schwarzenegger from the movie Junior. Other than that I like the emotion and Real Voice that 2k uses. I hope that TS can incorporate those things in the future.

If they add those things as well as a few things from the "other systems, dead" baseball game, like their analog pitching mechanics, better stat tracking and franchise options like chronic injuries, pitch counts/inning limits I'd be a happy baseball gamer..... And I don't even really like baseball.

Yeah I'm the same way. They've always looked funky to me, although that seems to be changing this year.

Changing this year, Madden going with all new player models this year?

The Show is so 36 hours ago, here's a potential Sony E3 leak.

• Uncharted PS4 3 Minute Trailer showcasing ”In-engine” footage interspersed with gameplay segments. Visuals are supposedly unprecedented and set a benchmark for console graphics. Summer 2015 release date. It looks absolutely stellar. Features tropical setting and differing time periods with Nate/Francis.
• Media Molecule’s new title will be a landmark title for Morpheus. 3D world building, beautiful, quirky visuals.Extremely creative and fun. Possibly related to the ”Entwined” trademark filed last week by SCE (not sure). Late 2015.
• Gran Turismo 6 is coming to PS4 as 1080p 60FPS repackaged title in the vein of Gran Turismo 7: Prologue. Stunning visuals, extra features (social connectivity, new tracks, dlc etc). Coming mid-late 2015.
• God of War 4 teaser will be present – will be CG with snippets of in-engine footage. A little early for reveal, but is designed to offset negativity surrounding canceled new IP and generate excitement – also to partially offset CG announce of Gears of War at Microsoft presser. Late 2015. Date wont be announced.
• Kill Strain trademark is related to Syphon Filter reboot for PS4. Sony Bend working on revamping the franchise. Stealth, beautiful visuals and a possible Winter 2014 title. Bend finally getting to join the big boys.
• Wipeout is also making the transition to PS4. Source is unsure of who is developing it, but hints that it could be Sony London, Evolution, or Firesprite.
• Quantic Dream has a trailer prepared – unsure whether it is penciled in for Gamescom or E3. Sony will be watching Microsoft’s presser earlier in the day to gauge whether additional titles will need to be slotted in to dampen hype. Expect Dark Sorcerer- like visuals in real time. Off-topic, but still relevant – they are close to deal to become a Worldwide Studios developer, along with Ready At Dawn.
• Speaking of Ready At Dawn, The Order:1886 will get a stage demo. Big title for Fall 2014. Sony is expecting great things from said title – franchise hopes rest on its performance.
• Ninja Theory working on a PS4 exclusive – possible Heavenly Sword sequel which was shelved a number of years ago. Quite far into development.
• Sony London will be at E3. First AAA title in many years. 3rd person title. Gorgeous. They’re back with a bang,
• Guerrilla Games bringing their RPG to E3. Provocative setting – very interesting. Insane visuals as usual. A good reaction to the title is expected. Will please the hardcore.
• Sucker Punch busy at work on an inFAMOUS: Second Son DLC. Really cool. New powers. Possible new setting. E3 debut.
• Sony Japan Studios debuting two, maybe even three titles. Project Beast – spiritual successor to Demon Souls. The other is The Last Guardian. Retooled for PS4, possible Winter 2014 title. The Other title is shrouded in secrecy.
• Evolution will give Driveclub some time in the limelight. It’s shaping up to be incredible with jaw-dropping visuals. Demo release will be timed with the press conference.

Great. The hype for The Show just dissipated as I'm actually playing it, but now I'm getting hype for other games.

Anyone else having issues with their monitor or screen flashing black for a few seconds then going back to the PS4? I have had this issue ever since the latest update. I suspect it might be something to do with HDCP. I didnt have issues before the update

Is there an option to turn off the HDCP now or is it simply turned off by default? If there's an option I'd say try to turn it off..

There is a option to turn HDCP off. Sony recommended I do that, but I have still seen a black screen for a second or two after disabling it. Hope it doesn't become common.

Problem with that is then none of the streaming apps work, I have to turn it off then on again depending on what I'm doing.

I hope another patch comes out, this is getting weird. Searching the Internet and I see there are quite a few people having issues like this

I had an issue like that... in NBA2k it was audio dropouts early in the game, and then played Madden for the first time in a while and the video was completely blinking out. My TV would even put the resolution and other info back up on the screen like the video was actually interrupted.

I moved the HDMI cable to another input on my receiver and that seems to have fixed it so far, but with others reporting issues I wonder if that's a fluke.

You have to go to video output settings and turn Deep Color Output off. By default it is set to automatic. Ever since I turned that off, I never had a flicker problem again.

Anybody else missing their PS3? I sure am.. I sold mine to go towards the PS4 back in October. I might buy a 500GB just to have some Uncharted, RDR, Max Payne, Bioshock Infinite, Hitman, Splinter Cell, etc. back in my life. And the playstation plus included games for PS3 have been really nice these past few months.

Never thought I'd say this, but I'm kinda getting bored with the PS4..

New Syphon Filter, count me in! It is definitely one of my favorite Playstaion IPs. I loved the first 3 games on the original playstation and really enjoyed the Omega Strain game on PS2 as well.
