I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I tried messing with Play, but it says my connection isn't good enough.
I tested and I'm getting 10 down and 4 up. I know that's not crazy good, but it's pretty decent. I wouldn't use the feature much anyways.
Anyone on Minecraft a decent amount ? I play a bunch of Madden and I have an insane backlog of games, but I did purchase Minecraft too.
Feel free to add me to PSN if any of us aren't friends.

Have the basic house done with a bedroom and may add a storage room soon. Have ladder going up to roof/deck area with lots of space.
Next will be a little fire/garbage pit.
Need to start gathering more stuff to get some real building done.
Then I'm off to explore more of the world.Joshua:

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
For Sports Gaming I could waited another year, too switch to PS4. MLB the show 14 is minor upgrade, NHL 15 is better on last gen, Madden 15 I bought too early loading data bug and Qb progression has to be fixed. FIFA is better on next gen.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Really I fell like sports games have gone down hill sences ps3 started. Madden was great on ps2 and was a wast on ps3. NBA 2k14 looks great but the CPU scores way way to much in the paint. Nhl I don't think was has good has people say on ps3 and mlb the show is great. Really mlb 14 the show I agree that it was just a minor upgrade but that game is alredy so good that other then franchise mode I don't know how much better the game can get when it comes to gameplay. I fell like ever sports game now days has more major issues then they did back during the ps2 days that you either have to weight for a patch to fix or you have to weight in till the next year to be fixed. I thought about weighing to get a ps4 because I don't have has much time to play has I used to and I already have a back lot of like 20 games I still need to beat or play a lot more of between other systems like ps3 wii u ect. I play a lot of sports games but I play a lot of other games and there are not a lot of games on ps4 yet and that is alrease how it is with new systems no games for like first year or so. Also with ever game having to be installed to the system I am probly going to have to get a new hardrive to and last gen I didn't need to buy a new hard drive so even though ps3 Is 200-100 cheper then ps3 was last gen having to get a new hard drive bascily is going to make that not really any cheaper then ps3 was. I have nba 2k14, mlb 14 the show, marvel lego, infamous second son, knack and madden and I am already down to like 205 GB and so far NBA 2k14 is the only game to blow me away with its grapchis has I think the other game look nice but only a little better then ps3 games. If I had weighted a little longer then maybe sony would have a ps4 with 1 TB or something. I do plain on getting drive club and I can't weight for batman arkham knight but it got deyland to next year has it was going to be a like September or October game this year.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
It's about year, how long is 'waiting a little longer?' If you think about it, this gen is perhaps 10-15% over. Been a fun ride so far, but we're still on the part of the coaster that is slowly ticking up the hill before the real fun begins.
As to games generations old at this point being better, that's equal parts fact and noatalgia, though I personally lean more towards the latter. I don't have any great memories of playing an online franchise with 8 other friends in the PS2 era... because you couldn't.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
My cousin and I used to play that game incessantly, that is, until he learned you could sack the QB by going backwards through the defensive side. The original cheeser...

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Cheese sure has evolved, hasn't it ? I think they make it a lot tougher now always. I remember how serious I used to be about it.
I ran and played in a few NCAA Leagues on Leaguedaddy.com from 04-07 and sim play was all the rage. It was too easy to do gimmick **** like replacing the QB with a fast WR. Whenever someone rolled that **** out on me in a game, I hit em with the end game or double win glitch.
Square audible on defense, eject the PS2 disk before they hike the ball, wait 30 seconds and put it back in. The game would load back up and give both the option to continue vs CPU or quit. Quitting didn't hurt and a CPU win gave you the actual win in the stats. I would just send dudes a msg saying something like "Lay off the cheesing or I'll end the game."Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
On my Vizio, you can set the Game Mode on/off per input, so I have it on for my PS3/PS4 HDMI inputs, and off for my cable box.Ryan Spencer

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Not if you actually like the soap opera effect. I do like that effect and I can also tolerate the effect that it gives my games too.. I don't play my games on game mode if my tv is only 120hz.. It plays super smooth with unnoticeable input lag, almost like every game is at 60fps.. Now 240hz has crazy input lag. I'm specifically speaking of the samsung high end displays.. I have both a 40 inch 120hz and a 47 inch 240hz samsung TV .. Gaming on the bigger one is horrible (without game mode) but the picture quality is awesome sauce. Gaming on the smaller one is just as good as watching movies to me without game mode.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
It's just not interpolating frames. That may lead to a perceived 'drop' in quality, but nothing about the quality of frames from the source is being degraded.badComment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
A TV's Game mode might improve your gaming experience, but it will definitely decrease your picture quality.
However, Game mode isn't magic, nor does it simply overclock the processors and jack up the performance. Instead, it starts taking things out. Color processing, noise reduction, advanced scaling, all of these aspects and more get thrown out or greatly reduced. As such, the image gets a lot worse. Scaling artifacts are much more likely. Color accuracy and even potentially color temperature tracking, all suffer. The image can get noisier as well. What specifically gets tossed varies per company, but the end result is the same: less input lag, worse image.Ryan Spencer
