Yep. I look at what 3 games I want and if 1 store doesn't have all 3.. but they have the other 2...I'll buy the one from the store that does have it.. return it to the other store and tell them right away what I'm doing (Return and then use the buy 2 get 1) and it's all good.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
With NBA2k15, PES2015, and WWE2k15 coming up, I have been considering going all digital. Not having to swap out disc is biggest reason why I'm heavily thinking about going digital. Love being able to load up the current PES2015 demo without having to get my butt out of my bed (still have MLB the Show 14 disc loaded in the system). Would have had more time with NBA2k14 had it been digital installed, but didn't feel like ejecting MLB14 and inserting NBA2k14.
For those who are on the fence, or have completely converted ....
(A) Approximately how many games can fit on a standard PS4 harddrive?
(B) (Below) Someone mentioned if you're not able to connect to PSN, you can't play the game. Is this true?
(C) Heaven forbid, if ______ (insert problems), is there any particular issues that may arise if you need to redownload the game?
(D) Doubt it, but is there a way to "store" your purchased games on an external harddrive so that you don't have to redownload it (using bandwidth, etc. etc.).
(E) Does digital in fact reduce the amount of wear and tear on the PS4?
(F) If you buy a second or third PS4, how would your purchased digital titles work?
Anything else to add??
Pros:
Don't have to go to the store
Cons:
Pretty much everything.. No trade-ins, sometimes when I can't connect to PSN I can't play them, etc.. Moral of the story is, don't go digital, you'll regret it.
And I'm pissed about Destiny. I purchased it 3 months ago on the store and haven't been let into the beta. Unacceptable. Half of the people in the beta didn't even purchase the damn game..

A) there is no difference between physical vs digital space used. Entire game gets installed either way.
B) Not true for primary ps4s unless the license has expired. Secondary ps4s with user sign in will require psn.
C) no
D) no
E) no
F) you will be able to access any of your purchases on your account from any ps4. You are allowed to mark one ps4 as the primary ps4. All users can use the games on the primary ps4. On all other ps4s only your account can use them.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
PS4 is set up to quietly copy the disk to the HDD, it's supposed to do it without you having to be aware, and it's also supposed to push old games out when you run out of space without you having to manage it (I'm guessing the longest since played game).Comment

Appreciate the response.
(A) If games are also installed onto the harddrive with physical discs, if each game is hypothetically 50gb and you only have the default 500gb harddrive, then you can only have a rotation of 10 games (or 9 games, percentage of mb required for other default PS4 stuff) at one time? If the gamer wanted buys two other disc based games, I'm assuming s/he would need to delete two other games to make room, correct? This is assuming you don't want to mess with installing a 1 tb or 2tb harddrive.
... and if the gamer only has digital purchases, s/he would have to redownload the deleted games (using bandwidth)??
(B) License? Are you referring to the license (i.e. NFL license, MLB license, NBA license, etc.) or the "verification license" that some people are talking about in the following thread.
Some people apparently have issues with PSN and not able to boot up digitally purchased games.

(C) Hypothetically, 20 years from now, I'm assuming if I wanted to load up NBA2k15 or PES2015 digitally on my PS4 that I would be able to ... if I don't connect to the internet? ... if I am connected to the internet?
(D) Hypothetically, 20 years from now, if there were no longer license issued for any major sports (basketball, football, soccer, hockey, etc.), would I still be able to load up digitally NBA2k15 or PES2015 on my PS4, etc.?
(E) So long as you designate a PS4 as a primary PS4, you are able to play all your digitally purchased video games even if hypothetically, you wanted to sell your old PS4 and get a new PS4 each year. Just redownload all your digital games onto your new PS4? ... unless the license (or verification license) has not expired?Last edited by strawberryshortcake; 09-28-2014, 11:21 PM.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Not really related to the current talk on this thread, but will Sony ever allow us to put our own music on the PS4? I thought it was coming soon, but it has been almost a year since launch now.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Why worry about running out of space, delete old versions of games when you know you like the new ones (sorry 2K14 your being replaced) and get a bigger HDD (at least 1TB, 1.5TB 7200 rpm preferred)Boy this habit is as bad as dope!!!

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
That is something I really hate that ever game has to be installed because on ps3 I have like 45 games and I have only used like 90GB out of 120 so I never had to replace the hard drive. Now with PS4 I only have 6 games and I have already had to use around 280 GB and that is with no DLC or music or anything like that on my PS4. So even though I payed 400 for ps4 compared to ps3 paying 500 because I am going to have to by a new hard drive at some point it really didn't cost me less then 100. Sports games when they come out I do delect and go on to the next one but ever other game I keep saved has I still go back and play games once in a while that are old. So with PS4 really I am going to need a 2TB hard drive. I miss having mermory cards like we used to have.Comment

Destiny only takes up 21 GB
MADDEN 15 is 18GB
Tomb Raider 17 GB
The biggies for me are MLB the show, NBA 2k14, battlefield 4, COD Ghosts, Killzone Shadowfall, the last of us, all in the 40's and can get over 50 GB with added map packs or other DLC.
My games are 50/50 disc and digital download. I've never had a problem getting a digitaly downloaded game to play. Even when PSN is down I can still load up my games and play. I have had problems with discs though, just one finger print and it won't read, keep your hands off the disc, lol.
The only game so far that I have not been able to play when off line is Destiny.
I'm hoping Sony will do an update allowing us to use an external HD for extra storage at some point.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Saw some really impressive Drive Club media online over the weekend. I was always kinda excited to give it a spin, but never like "oh my God I need to play that" excited.
I saw an article that stated the PS Plus version will be basically full retail with trophies, minus some cars and tracks. Then other websites are saying no one knows for sure. Anyone here have some clarification on that? Not that I am going to buy the full retail version anyway, was just curious as to what I can expect next month.Comment
