I don't know. Steam has great deals and I can't remember the last time I purchased a pc game on disc. The selection in most stores isn't very good.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
The difference in prices is why I believe the gaming industry will crash if/when it goes all digital. Consumers don't realize that if every game is digital only, there's literally no reason whatsoever for any publisher to lower the price or put it on sale simply because in the end, buying it digitally will be the only way you could get the game and thus, it's either pay what the price is or simply, forget about the game and move on.
My biggest gripe with digital is I can't trade in, so it's just not worth it for me. However it's convenient as hell to be able to download and play without getting up to change the disc.
Before we know it everything will be digital and any disc based media will be phased out, as we've been witnessing that change here in the past decade or so. What we NEED as consumers/gamers is diversity. If sales go all digital, we need Steam, Green Man Gaming etc etc. It's the only way it's ever going to work.
And I also think digital games should be cheaper, but they'll never be a 50% difference unfortunately. But if we get multiple resalers a la PC gaming, we'll likely see different deals as to not be forced into paying full price. Time will tell.Last edited by Gerg04; 11-29-2014, 08:39 PM.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I was bitching on Friday about no GTA V sales and one of my local twitter followers was saying that he just bought the GTA V bundle if I wanted he would trade Shadows of Mordor for GTA V.
Looks like I'll have a new game by Friday! Also help Shadows was $25 on Amazon.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Steam is great for those who are PC gamers. I don't see anything like that happening for console gamers if it was to go all digital. Just look at the prices for retail games on Xbox 360 and PS3 that are years old. Still way too high. I just don't see publishers doing on consoles what they do on Steam.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
What he said. There are not a lot of games on ps4 yet so that is crazy that he has 15 games already. I have 5 games so far and I am already down to like 200 GB or something. I never had to get a new hard drive on ps3 but now that ever game has to be installed on ps4 i am going to go though the space a lot more. That is one thing i hate this gen.Comment

Not so sure...if a product isn't selling, any company is going to lower the price to try and cut their losses and increase sales somehow.

I don't trade games in has out side of sports games I like to keep my games because I will still play those games form time to time. To me getting rid of games is stupid because like I said I like to beable to go back and play them. But I still like disk games because the thing is with digital has far has I know if your system breaks and you get a new system you then have to redown load it. That is why I still prefer mermery cards. Because if you system breaks then you have to download all you games and your dlc. Also in less you have a really fast internet then games are going to take a long long time to down load. When I down load demos they can take sever hours and they are a lot smaller then full games. If demos take that long to down load then I can only enmagion how long a full game is going to take.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I had my HD full quite quickly on my PS4. I haven't upgraded yet but will soon, I keep holding off hoping Sony will release an update allowing us to use external drives. I too do not trade my games in so I need a lot of space. Currently I have:
Moto GP 14
MXGP
GTA V
Far cry 4
Advanced Warfare
Driveclub
Madden 15
MLB 14
Destiny
Battlefield 4
Watchdogs
Zen Pinball
Pure Pool
And I have 65 gigs free however I have several games that I have uninstalled to free up space that I would like back on the system. So an upgrade is needed.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Are all the 2TB drives external where you have to crack it out of its case to install it in the PS4? That is mostly what I see when I watch videos on upgrading.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I finally tried out the share play feature. This is a very nice addition to the PS4. Although when sharing the game, ( I handed my controller off to a friend so he could try out Driveclub) you don't get to see the game in its full HD glory, it's just streaming on the other console. He did get a decent feel for the game and said the control was lag free and the game ran smooth. I let him play for the full hour, you get a message when there is only 5 minutes left in the current hour. Then I took control back and started up another hour, we spent about 4 hours using share play on a couple different games. I noticed it doesn't work with Advanced Warfare, their loss , they may have got another sale, my friend bought Driveclub as a result of getting to try it out, probably would have bought AW as well. Very nice feature.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Speaking of HDD upgrades, I just did mine yesterday. The 2TB Seagate Slim for $65 (Newegg) was too good to pass up. The case on the Seagate is very nice too, so it makes a great housing for you other HDD if you wish. It opens up very very easily, with a sharp-edged tool, without damaging it.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Not all but when the seagate 2tb drive first hit the market it was only available in the external enclosure so we didn't have a choice if we wanted to go that large. The drive is sold by itself now but is still typically $20-40 more expensive then buying the external case version. Buying with the enclosure also gives you the benefit of being able to put the 500 gb HDD from the ps4 into it and use it elsewhere if you want.

Weight so you can put the 500 in to it and then use it to so that you have the 2 TB in the system plus the 500 to have 2.5 TB told of space to use on the ps4?Comment
