Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I just replace mine with a 2 TB because I was full, but I currently own course to 15 games, and like 3 are digital.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I have a few PSN digital and LBP digital and am fine. I will never go full digital until there's a $ benefit. So like Mil said.. depends on how much you'll be buying digital.Joshua:

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I think I'll be fine until next year. Any game I no longer own I delete off.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I hear you but now that I have two PS4s I prefer digital so I can play games from either room without hunting the disc....much betterStreaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Music has to be in a folder called music, in the app it sorts music by folder and there isn't playlist support, you can play all or play all or play all of a folder. So if you prefer music by genre or mood for certain things, you have to sort it yourself beforehand.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I still have my 500 gig and frankly think it will be fine for me for the life of the system.
No way I get 500gb of stuff on there that needs to stay there... but yeah IF you go all digital then sure.
So for me it would be a waste of money. When digital makes sense as far as 10-15.00 cheaper I'll think about it. Otherwise I'll still be able to trade games in and get money back.Joshua:

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Ordered my hard drive last week after mentioning it a lot on here.
I had to delete a few games from my hard drive last week and it finally convinced me that it's time to upgrade HD.
I'm going mostly digital while here in Japan because of game availability on base and I hate switching disks now. DriveClub, FIFA, Destiny, Battlefield are the only disk based games I own. WWE, Madden, GTA, Watch Dogs, Pure Pool, Minecraft, NFS, Injustice, Outlast, The Last of Us are all on my hard drive.
I have way too many games all ready.
I think with the amount of content I save from games like screen shots and videos, the hard drive is necessary. I don't like to pay 60$ for a game and then have to delete it from my console. I know I won't play it much and I can always download it again, but It feels like such a waste to remove it.
I miss the ability to buy any disk based game and get good deals on used games, but honestly this whole mostly digital is teaching me discipline. Not discipline to not make impulsive purchases, but discipline not to spend $60 on a game and then go sell it to Gamestop for half that.Last edited by AUChase; 11-29-2014, 07:29 PM.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
PSN needs to have sales on games every once in a while. It shouldn't take Black Friday for them to do that. Maybe for a weekend, GTA V is 44.99 or something like that. It would help foster the transition to digital. Physical copies don't stay at $59.99 ALL the time, neither should digital.Originally posted by J. ColeFool me one time that's shame on you. Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
The difference in prices is why I believe the gaming industry will crash if/when it goes all digital. Consumers don't realize that if every game is digital only, there's literally no reason whatsoever for any publisher to lower the price or put it on sale simply because in the end, buying it digitally will be the only way you could get the game and thus, it's either pay what the price is or simply, forget about the game and move on.
I think that all digital games that have disc counterparts should be half priced. $60 disc should be $30 digital and so forth. To me, $60 is a huge rip off for a digital game especially if it's a game/series/franchise that you're taking the chance on for the first time.
Digital is also bad because once you purchase it, that's it, there's no monetary value to it at all. No trade in value. Nothing.
I have a good collection of digital games on Xbox 360 and with the exception of Sleeping Dogs, I didn't pay more than $20 for each and in most cases, were cheaper due to sales for games like Red Dead Redemption, GTA IV, RE 5, etc.
$20 is my limit for digital games and if I go past that like I did with Sleeping Dogs, it's because other games were less than $20 so the difference evened out.
Hard drive wise, I only have two games on PS4 via digital download and both are PSN/Indie games. Child of Light and Mercenary Kings.
I have Unity and Far Cry 4 installed from the disc and still have plenty of space. Of course, it helps that I stopped collecting games two generations ago. If you're a collector (especially digitally) then buying a bigger hard drive is probably a must. If you're like me and a casual gamer, it's probably not a must.Comment
