Also still less of DRM then MS and they didn't exactly lie considering it applies to their Sony games, I have my doubts if the publishers even went through with the DRM in the first place due to all the backlash

I just pre-ordered at GameStop. Said he had 18 PS4 pre-orders left and were only allowed 12 XBO pre-orders and had sold 5 of those. Once I can in-store at Best Buy I will probably cancel GameStop...l I just don't want to rely on online and shipping. I'd rather go to the store and grab it.

Not even close to the same thing as MS. Its closer to online pass codes like EA has been doing for years, in this regard. Yet Sony needs to do this to a degree also because it does not matter how good the system is if the publishers feel as if they can't protect their product also. Its a two way street and this is fairest option for gamers and designers.

What is Sony supposed to say? They aren't the ones imposing restrictions, Microsoft is. If 3rd parties create their own restrictions its not up to Sony to take responsibility for that.

Exactly, and to add this is not built into the OS/Firmware from Sony, so there is no way to block a trade in. Way too complex and expensive to even try it.

MSFT will have this BUILT IN, so you can ONLY use their select retailers (meaning EBGames will be on that pogo stick).

The DRM they speak of sounds like online pass.

Nothing can match what MS is planning to do. That system's foundation is built on DRM.

I don't really care about online passes and stuff, I want to know if they're going to use their 'pair disc to console' patent is all.

Either way, this wasn't an issue for me with the One, it's not an issue for me with the PS4.

But seriously, I'm so stoked for the PS4, it really feels like it has hit the ground running before it is even out. PS3 was labelled the 'Media Center' when it came out, well looks the tables have turned. It feels like Sony is more focused on gamers more than ever. The price difference has left fans of both consoles gobsmacked, and most likely left MS shocked themselves.

I have had a Playstation my whole life nearly, and honestly.. This gives me some large amount of satisfaction.

Truthfully, 0$ when you think you get about 2 or 3 retail games for Free every week or two weeks.

But I think I pay $50 a year to answer your question.
