Haha. Nah, definitely expecting it to hit PS4 which I think will last until at least Fall 2020. Both consoles are doing better than their predecessors so I can easily see this generation going at least seven years, if not longer.

Pretty sure Kojima already knows the type of game that he's going to create and as long as he doesn't waste time developing his own game engine, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see a teaser trailer at E3. Engine wise, he should use U4 or the engine that was used for The Order: 1886 depending on the game he's going to be developing.

I read about it this morning. There was an article on Nikkei stating that Kojima had officially left Konami's dungeon and he would open his own studio, and would be partnering with Sony to create a new game, it would be a console exclusive on PS4 (it means it may be available on PC).

Yeah the response time/input lag is the main reason and it's a big deal. I am by no means a great multiplayer shooter gamer but the advantage from the monitor usually means I'm always at least in the middle of the pack in online matches.

Image quality wise, Some games look better on my benq, others look better on my Sammy TV.

Is that why you're so much better than me at rocket league?

Lets get some going this weekend. I've noticed quite a few playing, but mostly on solo standards. I'll send invites next time I see a bunch playing.

Also I hate that you can no longer join a friend or party member mid game since a couple patches ago. You need an invite before the join session button appears. I always liked jumping into random games on my list, do my thing, and just disappear lol. I'm pretty sure they changed it cause whenever the pros streamed their games, everyone would just click join session without an invite and they had to keep kicking them.

I pretty much only play Remote Play, so I can attribute many of my failures to the slightest bit of lag that has over all of your monitors.

Well...it didn't take long at all.

Less than a day after officially leaving Konami, Sony has signed Hideo Kojima and his newly founded company Kojima Productions to a multi-game contract. The first game is a new IP, console exclusive to PS4 and is expected to become a compelling franchise.

The man, if given the time and money, can make cinematic and gaming history. MGS5 was on pace for epicness until Konami wanted to push the game along (apparently, they thought it better to rush the game and effectually cut the plot) which eventually hurt them in the long run and cut their sales.

Kojima is good but he's also bad at the same time in regards to money spent. People have to realize that he gets paid before the game even gets finished. In regards to MGSV, it's more on Kojima than Konami simply because the guy was taking forever to finish the game. He spent money on Kiefer Sutherland who is non-existent for the majority of the game in terms of voice acting when Konami wanted Hayter who is also cheaper. Kojima also spent money on a lot of music that he never used in the game.

With that said, im looking forward to what the new IP will be but at the same time, im hoping that he uses U4 or the game engine that was used on The Order: 1886 and just gets started once he has his staff finalized at Kojima Productions. As for MGSV, the game itself wasn't very good and that's more on Kojima than Konami. When you look at it from their point of view, you can't just keep pouring millions after millions of dollars on a project that seems to never finish. Kojima made too many mistakes with MGSV and Konami simply put an end to it.

Most people blame Konami and praise Kojima and yeah, he's good but not great in my opinion. When you get paid upfront, it's tough to care what you do with the company's money especially when it's not your own. With Sony spending so much money on VR and games, I seriously doubt that they signed him just so he can take literally forever. If his game isn't finished and released by the end of 2018, that's going to be a disappointment. And hopefully his new IP will be a linear game as opposed to open world.

Big announcement and kind of expected but at the same time, I just don't want to see Kojima take forever as I especially don't want him to build his own game engine since like the IP would be owned by Sony anyway so no point in wasting time, money and resources to do that. Since the deal happened very quickly, im sure that Kojima already knows what kind of game he wants to develop and im just hoping the entire process goes faster than slower.
