It could be that games are still full 1080p but that they can upscale to 4k which would still mean they would look better.

I mean that 4K isn't actually 4K. Correct and show me if im wrong but I checked Best Buy and the highest "4K" TV is only 2160P which is NOT 4K. It's 2K. 4K doesn't even exist and my friend told me that the one 4K TV he told me about is over $100,000 and is from Samsung. That's ******* insane. And it's just funny that so many people believe what they read. They read 4K and automatically believe it's 4K.

You think about things and over analyze stuff way too much man, we just want the new PS4 because it's going to be awesome and obviously need the newest version.

I don't read half the stuff on it, it's my money and I'll buy it because I want it.

Games are a premium entertainment product IMO, more important things in life should be focused on first. If you then have the time and money to spend on games/gaming consoles, why not have the best?

Just my opinion, I'm just sick of the back and forth arguing over all this 4K nonsense.

I am not sure that is the first I have heard of 4k not really being 4k and if that is true I would say that is false advertisement. But even if it isn't really 4k I can tell you from what I have seen at Best Buy it looks a lot better then your standard 1080p TV. Not only that but people make a big deal when a game is 900p instead of 1080p. and there is way bigger of a difference in the amount of pixels between 1080p and 2160p then there is between 900p and 1080p. So if people make such a big deal about 900p vs 1080p you know people are going to make a big deal between 1080p and 2160p.

4k is 3840 pixels × 2160 lines.

What a bizarre thing to spasm over. When people say 4k they're obviously abstractly referring to the next step up in fidelity, whatever the technical specification may be.

You are incorrect.

The 4K standard is defined by industry as the horizontal component of the screen resolution, unlike contemporary HD display formats such as 1080P which reference the vertical component of the screen resolution.

Seriously though, he champions the oddest causes. I agree, I'm pretty sure most people have already been aware for quite a while now that 4K isn't "technically" 4K. It's the industry standard name used and I'm fine with it.

He comes in with that news like it's supposed to burst our bubble or something lol.

So I enjoyed my week trial of Vue. I am probably gonna go with the elite slim package. My only disappointment was I couldn't watch the UFC Card on it this past weekend (unless I am an idiot and it was right in front of me?).

Pretty cool service. First time I have tried anything like it

That article says there's no changes in the blu-ray drive. That's disappointing. I was holding off buying a UHD player until this comes out. Hopefully they're wrong on that part.
