Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I wouldn't trust anything VGChartz ever posts. I know in the UK, their tracking software had it not in the top 5 in sales opening week. That's the only official numbers I've seen.
I actually don't know anyone personally who bought Last Guardian. I'm waiting for a price drop to pick it up.Last edited by ExtremeGamer; 01-18-2017, 06:01 AM.Comment

I know that the VGCartz is not always right but I did hear before it came out that its preorder numbers where better then Sony expected. So with that said I would think it has been sailing good.Comment

Improper grammar...it should be written "sailing well"

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Ramone from SCEA The Show commented in the past that the VG Chartz numbers were pretty good. I think they can give a good idea of what the real sales numbers are. They probably adjust them as time goes on and they get more info as well. They may not be perfect but it's the best we got.Comment

I sure wish my controller lasted as long as my wireless, AA battery operated, Xbox 360 controller used to last.

Knack for $5. If you haven't played it yet, you owe it to yourself to pick it up, especially at that price.

Any reason Monopoly Plus has a low Metacritic score? I have Monopoly for PSX, which is still fun to play today (hell, it's the game Monopoly), but considering this has a little more interactivity I'm hoping it's simply the same thing... maybe stronger AI?Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
The Order: 1886 for $4.99 sounds enticing, but I'm already so backlogged I feel that I'm good. Besides, if I want it later I kind of anticipate that sale happening for it again at some later day.
I did however end up getting Monopoly Plus. Glad I did. I remember playing the trial with a friend, but wondered what might be on the surface that I was missing.
Difference in rules between PSX and PS4 versions that I have noticed (note that I understand the PS4 version likely plays authentically to official board game rules, though the PSX version may have had older rules or improperly implemented)... in the PS4 version:
- You can only play with one set of house rules instead of changing many (landing on go gives you $400, free parking collects fines, some rule about snake eyes, etc.).
- You cannot collect rent if you mortgage a property.
- Auction bids are in $1, $10, or $100 increments only.
- You make trades/build houses/etc. after a turn as opposed to before.
- No option to build houses unevenly (which is of course against official rules, but just an option you could do in PSX game).
Hilariously, I tried to offer a Get Out of Jail Free card for $1 to an AI opponent who had $16 in cash and was on his last doubles roll attempt to get out, and he refused... then didn't roll doubles, and had to remove houses to pay his $50 fine to get out.
I had the worst luck in my first game. One opponent kept missing my properties, landing on Chance & Community Chest, collecting railroad rent, jumping the board to pass GO, collected a total of over $2000 in Free Parking on three occasions, etc. After two hours I eventually declared bankruptcy, but I didn't give him the benefit of the doubt of getting my cash and property. He can go to hell lol.
Don't think I'll play it online any time soon, for fear of whatever skilled players there are out there. I don't really want to waste my time doing that. Wonder if the $9.99 DLC for My Monopoly (customizing the board's appearance) is worth it... though I like the lively board as is already. For $2.99, this purchase was kind of a no-brainer.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment
