It's incredible how cheap hard drives have become. Amazing.
Indeed. Got my 2TB last year sometime for 60 bucks from staples. Never used it until I put NCAA 14 on it late last year. Still just sitting waiting to be used with the new PS4 update next month!!
I have the 5tb Seagate Expansion plus and I highly recommend it. I don't have it hooked up to my ps4 as I'm not in the firmware beta, but it's been a solid backup for my pc.
With the best buy visa checkout deal right now you can snag it for just over $100. Not a bad deal.
Monitors are in one of the weird spaces for gaming because many of the things that make a computer monitor good for gaming don't matter for consoles (especially when you get into higher refresh rates that are more important than resolution in these days.)
Just go in knowing you're getting an entry level monitor and base your expectations off of that.
Edit: with that LG listed, of course. Edited to clarify.
I have a 4K TV (Vizio) and I thought I was set for this transition, but folks have started talking about HDR and a bunch of tech terms I don't know. So don't even know if an upgrade to Pro is worth it for The Show

True, I'm familiar with monitors for consoles as I've been using a BenQ for awhile now, just wondering how the 4k monitors are, especially with lag as hitting in The Show can be horrible with bad input lag.
Anyone currently or previously used their PRO on a LG27ud58 4k monitor? Or other 4k monitor for that matter that can give impressions?
Really close to pulling trigger on a 4k monitor in preparation for The Show 17 coming out soon

Myself and quite a few OSers play on monitors. I know me and Sbauer both play PS Pro on an LG 27UD68 4K monitor.
I've never played this gen (PS4) on a TV. It's always been a BenQ monitor going back to my Xbox 360 and the first few years of my PS4.
After going from the 24" BenQ to the 27" LG I'm extremely impressed. Gaming on a monitor isn't for everyone but once you try it, it's hard to go back to a TV. I like playing from a comfortable office/gaming chair at a desk. TV guys like the versatility of the couch, lying down etc.
As far as impressions on the 4K monitor go. It is pretty stunning playing on a monitor over a TV. It just looks crisper and more pc like. With 4K it's pretty through the roof incredible. I mainly play shooters (fps) so monitors are a huge plus. Input lag and reaction time in general is great. The visuals are just mind blowing.
Edit: disregard some of my comments because you already know from gaming on a BenQ. You'd be making the same jump I did. I say go for it, it'll be worth it for you.

We can't possibly speak with that much certainty. Besides, "looks" can mean many different things. For some people, just a consistent 60 FPS is exactly all we need.
You know one thing I want from a future Show game? No "fading" transitions. What do I mean by that? Watch any video from this game (or heck, just play the game) after every pitch, and starting a new batter, etc.
I feel it's a loading issue, and I wonder if the Pro can help out with that.

Thanks a lot for the feedback, it's on sale so I'm going to go ahead and pick it up, been getting good feedback here and elsewhere
You young guys can sit in an office chair to game on a monitor but I do that already 8 to 12 hours a day for work so when I game you will find me in my home theater seats or on the couch. My back wouldn't have it any other way...
