I personally wouldn't buy that tv but if you're happy that's all that matters. Over 50ms input lag isn't good at all for gaming and that's why I said it wasn't a good gaming tv.

I know your most likely going off Rtings site which I don't really care for, I own the set so I'm giving my opinion cause I own it, no offense Art , your going off what your reading. Anyway I love this set and thinking about getting the "65 for the living room . Don't knock something until you actually own it and have tested it yourself, it's like gaming, just because him and her don't like the doesn't mean you won't .

I have this issue with my PS4 Slim, which I have plugged straight into my TV. I run optical out of the TV to my sound bar for sound for both it and my Switch. For my XB1, I run it into my sound bar (only 1 HDMI input) and run the HDMI out from that into my TV.

This doesn't disprove the receiver theory, but there might be more going on. I don't use a receiver anymore.

Having trouble sharing screens and videos. I had it set up on my PS4 as soon as a I saved a clip or pic I could trim and share right away. Now it only saves more recent and I don't seem to have share option in capture under application saved data. Am I just forgetting how to do this or missing a step?

Read the bottom. If you're on a OG PS4 you'll be fine, but if you have a pro and play in 4k the input lag isn't stable. It cycles from 51ms to 67.3ms. That is very bad for 4k gaming. Again, I'm not saying the tv is terrible. It's just not a good gaming tv. I don't want to derail this PS4 thread though. We can continue talking about it on the tv thread if you want.

Seriously stop, Artman. If he is happy with his TV and doesn't notice any lag then who are you to harp on him about it? Figured the discussion was over and you actually take the time to screenshot rtings reviews to prove to him the input lag is high. He's read the rtings review. He's even mentioned it a couple times. Can't believe you actually took the time to do that.

Not sure why it bothers you so much that he likes his TV. Not everyone can afford a KS8000.

This is the end of TV discussion in this thread. And it's also the end of TV shaming. I can't believe I even have to say that or that it's actually a thing.

              Unreal.

I ordered a Pro and 4K monitor this morning. Best Buy says they can ship to me in Japan with an AP address , but it will be two weeks ish. This works out well because I won't be able to use it much until May anyways. Amazon is 7-10 days, but they never have anything in stock that I want. I don't really have the space here for anything so I may look to sell my 32" LG TV and OG PS4. Ideally I would like to maybe give it to my niece and nephew because I all ready have a PS3 and XB1 I don't use that could go in the living room for entertainment.

I think the final straw was paying $450 for a new pair of glasses.. the math finally made sense for how much I will use it.

Any tips for data transfer so I can start forming a plan now? All of my games are on a 3TB external HD, but game saves and media are all on the PS4 HDD

I've had the Pro since release but only just invested in a 4K TV,after expecting a fair improvement visually I'm disappointed & not seeing a big difference to be honest.

Games like ME andromeda look quite poor & some older games that aren't Pro enhanced are looking worse than on base PS4.

I'm using the HDMI that came with the console,is it necessary to change it or should it be good for 4K.

HDMI cable should not matter. Tv settings might.

Yeah if your settings aren't right it could actually make games look worse. Also, it depends a lot upon what your TV offers in terms of technology. All 4K tv's are not created equally..

I'd recommend Titanfall 2, Diablo, Uncharted 4, FIFA, NBA and MLB The Show 17 if you want to see games that look a lot better in 4K and/or with HDR

What setting do you use for:

                        Resolution
                        RGB range
                        Deep colour output

I got all set to 'Automatic' is that an issue?

Yes that's correct, those should all be auto. What type of TV do you have? Those settings are huge in regards to they need to be setup correctly for the PS4.

I've got the KS8000..........after initially being disappointed with the picture I am now getting some decent results with everything except the PS4 Pro.

I've enabled the HDR for all inputs but don't see an improvement with most games........Battlefront is a fantastic looking game on my old 1080 display but it looks average at best now.
I have read that you need to select games mode to get most out of HDR but it's just not long looking good.

Myself, Artman22 and a few others who own the KS8000 set have come up with the ideal settings for most people. I say most because everyone sees things differently and there are different lighting conditions for where people put their set. But this is a good base to start at and then go from there:

First things first..in your tv menu go to picture, then expert settings and make sure the UHD color is on for whatever port your PS4 is connected to.

Then next, settings > Picture > Special Viewing Mode: Game mode on

                              Backlight 20
                              Brightness 45
                              Contrast at 95
                              Sharpness at 0
                              Color at 50.
                              Tint 50
                              Smart led High
                              Black level auto
                              Resolution at auto
                              Dynamic contrast off.
                              Color tone warm 1
                              Gamma 0
                              Color space auto

Go into your 2pt white calibration correction and for the "red gain" add +9 and for the "blue gain" reduce it -9

PS4 - set all visual options to AUTO, do the test when done to verify everything 4K and HDR is working and supported as they should be.

P.S. you will see a setting in the picture menu called HDR+, ignore it and do not turn it on, it's a Samsung thing they came up with to try to make non-HDR content better. You will not be using this feature if you know what's good for you.

Really appreciate the detailed reply...........I'll try this later tonight.

All this is resettable from expert settings menu.......right?

Also this only changes the ticked input not all the others......right?

Something else I want to know is on the assigned PS4 input on the TV does it have two groups of settings?..........One for standard 4K & another for HDR or will they remain the same for both.
