I've got an older one but that one is slow. This one is great. I think the Network card may still be off on the Slim. Reading a couple threads, been on with Sony and TP Link Router support. Annoyed. Thanks though.

i'd make a note of your router settings, if youv'e changed anything, and then reset the router. chances are that may fix it...

I did a firmware update on my router, which I just bought in 2017, and the problem is now gone. I feel very relieved and very stupid at the same time. Can't believe that upgrade made such a big difference.

wow that's great to hear, isn't technology fun? man I'm 47 and wonder how things will be when I'm in my 60's if I'm fortunate enough to live that long. the more advanced we get the more on top of things the consumers seem to need to be...and not everyone has the smarts or time to keep up. or like me they are getting old and tired of doing so, LOL

Go to the manufacturer's website, they should have instructions there.

usually it's logging into the router and you see an option on the router interface to check for an update and then if one is found you can just upgrade. but not always, sometimes you will have to go to the manufacturer website and get the file yourself and run a setup routine.

as fishepa said, you really will have to go to whoever makes your router and see what they say the process is.

one note - do not interrupt the update once it begins no matter what you do or you could potentially screw up your router big time.

Have to disagree, I have the Hisense and it's a great set , I game on it with my Pro and it's fantastic. Have no issue with input lag at all. If you care about rtings site, there review for HDR gaming is a 7.5 rating . I can tell you first hand though cause I own it and it's a great set. Don't always buy for the name , but I'm very happy

Also I would not go upgrading firmware for no reason. Only if it fixes a specific issue you're having. Sometimes it can break stuff that is working fine.

Which Hisense do you have? I'm thinking about getting a new TV for my bedroom and turning it into a makeshift game room.

That's fine and you're entitled to your own opinion but that doesn't mean it's a fact. The fact is that tv is terrible for gaming with very high input lag when playing in 4k HDR. The tv doesn't have a wide color gamut, and very low nits for HDR. I don't say that trying to put you down or anything like that but I'm just being honest.

I personally wouldn't buy that tv but if you're happy that's all that matters. Over 50ms input lag isn't good at all for gaming and that's why I said it wasn't a good gaming tv.

That's roughly (50ms) 3 frames of lag at 60fps. It's not great but it also isn't the end of the world.

If you aren't playing fighting games or shooters competitively then I wouldn't worry about it.

Everyone's visual perception is different, there is no wrong or right. Hell, worse comes to worse you can just shut off HDR and get less input lag if it's that serious heh.

Your Hisense is a fantastic set for its price point. In actuality, for a budget conscious person the Hisense probably makes much more sense than the 8000 Sammy. Not everyone has super critical, discerning eyes after all.
