I think this was the smart way you have the gamers that have families that play the "family games" the camera is not too expensive and I still might get it not sure but thats why I'm ok with this Sony is giving us options and too many options never hurt anyone

It is one of the factors why Im getting PS4. Cheaper and gives me option to buy or not to buy the "eye" on release date. Raising a family and a budget constraint, any amount save is big for me.

I did not get the Kinect because that would require me to buy a new Xbox (mine was the old white one....been replaced for 5x due to the RROD) and my kids where still small to appreciate it.

Perhaps in 2014, I might get the eye for any family games available. BONDING TIME

Here is a compilation vid of the pc free to play games that are coming to the ps4. I did not realize that the games on PS4 will be like the PC games when they are set to ultra settings across the board. So for $399 we will be able to play these PC games like Planetside 2 and Dark Light Retribution at max settings on PS4, when it would cost much more for a PC gaming rig that would run them at ultra settings.

It's the nature of many of those games too, not really a knock on what's coming or the systems. They're made so that potentially hundreds of people can play in the same area as others and not kill the system either locally or remotely (and usually failing gracefully when it does ideally).

On the touchpad
It's clickable like a regular laptop mouse pad, and even light touches to its surface are quick in response - in theory, an RTS game based around pinch-to-zoom and panning gestures could find a comfortable home on the platform in future.

So it's a touchpad, not a screen.

Touchpad is my only 'wtf?' feature of the PS4 to me. Some of the examples I just don't think make a lot of sense (like RTS usage) without it being a screen and it will require a lot more creativity to include/use it in games as a result IMO.

Even though I don't think I really need the PS Eye, I would still probably jump on the rumored bundle that they removed (or not announced yet), which includes the PS Eye and Knack with the system for an additional $100. Knack hasn't looked all that special from what we've seen so far, but I have faith that Mark Cerny created a fun and innovative game.

Call me crazy or a little kid as I turn 35 in November too, but man every day I think about the PS4 launch, I guess cause I paid off the system 75% Idk..

I hate the summer as it is cause I hate the heat, but man do I want it winter time already

I hope that since Blizzard is jumping on the console train that Starcraft II and Heart of the Swarm will be made available on PS4, utilizing the touch pad of course in place of the mouse.
