I just don't think they'll drop the ball at e3 over this

What I think might happen is they will release a prototype version of console and show some games. Maybe announce some exclusive partnerships if they have any.

E3 will be the final prototype, price and more games with release date(s).

Or they could throw everyone a curve ball and say we been working non stop on this and it will be released Christmas 2013. I however think my first idea will happen.

The key for Sony is to have a way to exhibit the new tech/upgrades under the hood so people will want to spend 400$+ on a new console. If it's coming in this Christmas, it puts games like the new COD(November) in a weird spot.

Whatever they show will most likely be the final hardware. They won't have a prototype with it being released later this year.

Will be interesting if we end up with 2 powerful but similar approaches... remote play on Sony and other supported handhelds vs remote play on every compatible Windows 8 device or something.

Rumor - PS4 could come bundled with a “Dual Camera” PlayStation Eye

PS4 could be bundled with new PlayStation Eye, which VGLeaks notes is called a “Dual Camera”.

According to information dug up by the site, it’s an “evolutionized” HD version of the EyeToy, which uses a pair of wide-angle cameras with 720p resolution. The updated camera will also sport a “4 microphone array working at 48 khz,” which will come in handy with video chat and is able to recognize the user when logging into the PS4 system.

It is also capable of tracking head and hand movements as well as game inputs. It’s unknown whether it can detect body movements, a la Kinect.

Rumor - Killzone 4 launching on PlayStation 4, releasing in 2013

Killzone 4 will release later this year on Sony's next-generation PlayStation, an industry source has told VideoGamer.com.

The unannounced game, which our source claims is currently in development at Guerrilla Games, could be revealed during PlayStation Meeting on February 20, where Sony is expected to unveil PlayStation 4.

Think its possible we'll see battlefield 4 on ps4 this year? Normally we would have confirmation that its coming out this year but I was thinking that maybe they're waiting until Sony announces their ps4

PS4 rumour: next-gen racer to debut February 20th

This fresh rumour comes from STFUandPlay, and I know what we’re thinking – ‘who are they exactly?’ It doesn’t matter too much as a Polygon author using his NeoGAF handle ‘Aegies’ has gone on record to say that the rumour is true to his knowledge.

To be clear, that’s not the sort of thing a game writer does unless they’re damn sure.

So, the rumour in full then, is that Ged Talbot – ex-Bizarre Creations lead designer on Blur and several Project Gotham titles – has been hired by Motorstorm team Evolution Studios, along with other former employees.

They’re working on a next-gen racer for PS4 that was at one point pitched as a Gran Turismo title, although Sony Japan decided against the move for some reason. If true, this is the second next-gen racer in the works for Sony’s new console.

The other racer is rumoured to be in development at Ivory Tower, a studio comprised of ex-Eden Games staff. It’s said to be a spiritual successor to Test Drive Unlimited.

I really hope Sony puts out a system that fulfills the concerns we've had on the PS3. If they can do that, I'll need only one system. I hate having two systems right now but I can't stand playing some games on the PS3.
