Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Yeah, I'm not sure. I'd almost rather have it be a small display. Put context sensitive stuff there. Maybe swipe from a direction to press start/select or something. But lets you do some small off-screen stuff.
Not sure about the Move sensor incorporated onto it too, though if every PS4 comes with a camera maybe they could do something interesting things with that.
Ignoring gimmicks, this wins/loses based on how it feels in the hand and how good the new triggers feel.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
+1Maybe I'm not ready for change, but I don't like having a screen/touchscreen/tablet for or in a console controller. Granted the feel will be the most important part, but just give me a comfortable controller.
Sega was sure ahead of its time, huh?
I'm all for an improved product but this seems like a nice shiny object that, for me, will get little to no use. We'll have to wait to see if this is indeed what will be the final product and, if so, what the purpose is but I'd rather just have a durable, comfortable controller. I don't need a touchscreen that will elevate the cost.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Im Open to it being more than just a game system - a media box. Hell I love the idea.
as long as it isnt über expensive. I'm ok with it.
But a touchscreen on the controller is not needed. Just give me a ps3 app lol#1 Laker fan

I like the looks of that prototype. Having more space between the two analog sticks is a huge improvement in my eyes.prototype PS4 controller?

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Has there been any "semi-official" comments made about backwards compatibility yet? There was an article a few days ago that quoted EA as saying neither of the new systems will likely have backwards compatibility. My hopes aren't high, but it would be nice...Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I think that's all that's been mentioned so far.
I expect if there's BC it'll be done by Sony and be part of PSN+ or you'll re-purchase games and they'll be streamed to you using Gaikai.
I expect they're going to try and avoid the problems the PS3 had with people buying these and then not making up the loss by playing previous gen games on the cheap/free, though it was also purchased to be a standalone BD player too with no intention of buying games. Something that shouldn't be a problem this time around either.Comment

Looks kind of like a compromise between the 360 controller and a dual shock, with added bulk, addition of a headset port.
I like it, we'll see what else it can do. Wonder if the touchpad clicks at all.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I was waiting for someone to mention that about the controller. Just wanted to see how long it would take. That was even worse than the triggers to me. Should make my hitting in The Show better if I do decide to get a PS4 at some point.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment
