I don't want to post this on the X1 thread because I don't want to seem overly negative over there, but can someone explain this gif to me? This has to be some sort of mistake in capture because there is no way the X1 has just abandoned fixing this aliasing. This is supposedly captured off the X1.

That gif seems compressed which is really highlighting the AA effect. I'll let more knowledgeable posters say for sure, though.

That makes sense to me. I knew it was compressed. I just didn't realize the compression had that much of an effect on AA.

Just watch the IGN video. XBone multiplayer is literally a haven for Aliasing.

It has come out that the DF comparisons were not taken properly, ie oversaturated and high contrast on X1 (how convenient).

This is the best comparison I could find. Apples to apples. Granted this game does not look that great on either system and I think both are capable of much more.

Anyone who prefers X1 needs an eye exam.

Much more? The PS4 version is close to PC quality. Some folks seem to forget how massive and complex this game is.

They can make it better, but not a lot. You need a PC for that.

Yes... Much more (don't get too hung up on this word as it is subjective). Look at BF4 compared to Killzone or Forza. They are achieving much more in other games releasing on the same day. Let's not act like BF4 is some kind of graphical feat for either system.

In my opinion the ps4 is not all that close to the PC version.

I don't think its fair to compare an FPS to a racing game. Plus, KZ is an exclusive so I would hope that their graphics would be optimized more than a cross-platform game. At launch anyway.

I'm more worried about MP impressions.

Amazon has the DS4 in stock. I went ahead and ordered one today; I've officially made my foray into next gen.

I'm going to earn so many bonus points on my credit card this month and next.

Its not like its a horrible or even the worst looking game at launch, though. Well, at least not for the PS4. And its not surprising to see an exclusive looking better than a multi-platform competitor. It still happens at the end of this cycle. A better comparison would be to say CoD:Ghosts even though their MP is much smaller and contained.

I was going to pre-order both AC4 and BF4 today, but probably just AC4 for the time being as more impressions for MP roll in on BF4.
