100% agree. I am hoping Sony nails it completely this time. I really want to only own one console. If the announcement is solid, so long 360, it's saving time.Comment

Any idea what the triggers on the controller feel like? Concave or convex?Comment

$600 is way to much btw. I don't know how some can defend Sony if the price is that especially with the way most people are struggling right now. Both charge way to much for certain things, if Sony once again charges $600 then they will over charge for the system while Microsoft will most likely do the whole accessories being pricey again.
These companies need to stop destroying customers wallets. I would not be surprised to see game costs raise again for next gen either. Prob around 65-70 bucks.....Last edited by Candyman5; 02-20-2013, 01:19 AM.PS4 Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/candyman5os

Concerned more with what's beyond the initial sticker, that's been a gotcha to some degree this gen with things like Xbox hard drives and the Vita memory cards.Comment

I'm really not as concerned about the initial console prices, they'll come down in time and people will hop on when the price suits them. My concern is the price of other services, or what is required to really take advantage of everything. There was some talk about the PS4 being the center of a connected experience or something and mentions of a tablet. My fear going that route is to take advantage of all of that you'll need a Sony tablet, Sony handheld, Sony phone, etc. Then what's storage look like, price of expansion, price of additional controllers and other accessories/the availability of 3rd party options, price of games if they do tick up a little (not really expecting that, DLC helping keep that in check IMO), the price for both PSN/Live and/or fees for being able to play older games if it's not included.

I waited over 4 years after the PS3 was released before I got one because of the price. Call me stubborn, but I was not going to drop that much on a console while I was still enjoying my PS2 with games that were now at a reduced cost. I think Sony would serve themselves well by making the PS4 backwards compatible with PS3 games.....this way they'd get more early adopters who might chafe at the price but would think "well, at least it will play my existing library of games and when the prices for the next gen. games comes down a bit I'll already have the console to play them."
I can handle paying $400 for the PS4 but if they try to squeeze out more $$ from initial sales I'll just keep on enjoying my PS3.Comment
