Granted I said ever, so I set myself up for that... but circumstances are different when your primary competitor is already on the market for a year.

They aren't going to announce price first if they can help it. They have plenty of PR coming out of this, they don't need to taint any of it with a high price. Even if it's lower than expected it's a tentpole announcement that will produce another positive spike in media coverage that can be better used at a later date.
