Pre ordered both but way more excited for PS4, I'll get The Bone eventually but not sure about day one anymore.

Hope Microsoft was wearing a cup for that because Sony was kicking them where it hurts, repeatedly.

Maybe its just me but the download time on the 3 is much improved for me.

My connection is trash but Ive never had anything near a 4 hour update.

Question: Did Sony mention anything about improved servers? If I'm paying I don't want to wait 4-6 hours for updates and downloads like PS3.

Dude honestly, any playstation owner should already have PS+. If you don't...... well that's just really sad.

After looking at the PS4, the IT part of me is wondering how they are dissipating the heat in what essentially is a Small Form Factor case.

Agreed. PS+ is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Which reminds me, I need to renew my subscription it runs out in July.

No guarantee. If Sony doesnt ship enough, people will get pushed back. This always happens with new releases. Thats why I've preordered two places.

Interesting; since I never purchased at release before, I doubled-up with a preorder at Best Buy, as well. Hopefully that pans out.

I've been concerned with this even before they showed the new console. I was hoping they would learn their lesson as my PS3 tends to run pretty hot, but I don't see a ton of ventilation on that thing. Please no bricking.

First off, both systems look like ****.

Second, Sony may have converted me over, though I actually liked Xbox One's AAA games more. The Indie games are awesome though on the PS4.

Third, the price point probably just killed MS. Yeesh.

With that out of the way I want to say as a long time ps user anyone who doubts sony ps + thing is mistaken & fooling themselves.

This service has been well worth the investment & the quality of stuff is vary good

I wouldn't doubt this & I'll say this you won't be disappointed..

I've been harsh on sony is the past for reasons I will not disclose. But I'll close out my night saying this is a new day in videogaming & a new generation & a new Era. The Future is bright!! Good night.

The reason they were able to keep it cheaper than previous new launches is a lack of new media.

When Xbox/PS launched they were the first to use a DVD player as their disc reader and at the time the DVD reader was expensive.

PS3 came out more expensive than Xbox because the media that they used was more advanced. Xbox had a new media themselves in DVD-R DL.

This gen they didn't have to pay that huge cost to put in a new media reader because blu ray is still and for a while will be the top media on the market. All things considered I would be surprised if they are taking much of a hit if any off the console due to this. The cost in blue ray readers has come down tremendously. The memory is good but nothing that is going to break the bank. The hard drive I imagine will be your average laptop hard drive and the graphics card is probably a below average PC graphics card.

Bought by the individual consumer this would cost quite a bit but mass produced they will not start in a whole like previous gens.

The presser was great, was expecting $449 to say hey were cheaper and better so was thrilled with $399. Def a first day buy, and might even have enough room to find a vita somewhere to appease the woman if remote play is decent.

Comes I imagine with the age of console but the last PS3 exclusives look better than next gen imo.

If I played my PS3 enough I would.

I currently don't have my 360 controller adaptor (friend borrowed it) or power cord. (Got lost somehow)

I got a original Fat $599 PS3 (the one that is a damn furnace while running, lol) and its Wi-Fi is incredibly bad. My 360 in the same spot gets great signal, no idea what's up. When I direct connect it, I can play online but can't download worth **** (maybe its my fat PS3) and today I found out my 360 may be pooping out on me. The fan stopped spinning I'm pretty sure but it did last pretty long.

The PS4 really catches my eye though and that's why I'm trying to find every little detail of it. I just read the controller is a little bigger and heavier so that's a plus. I just hope the sticks are "stiffer" and they allow the switching of R2/R1 and L2/L1. Hate firing/aiming with R1/L1.

With the pre-order stuff, they dont charge til they ship, correct?im thinking about placing a backup pre-order.
