GFWL (Game For Windows Live) anyone? Now that has to be the worst DRM I have ever seen on the PC front with Origin not too far behind. Hopefully MSFT doesn't copy any of the GFWL DRM or else X1 owners will be in a world of hurt. The last 3-4 days alone, any GFWL on PC won't even work.

I see this more akin to Steam in terms of allowing others to use their own DRM.

I went to future shop earlier today and pre-ordered. Great to hear the hard drive is 500gb.

Are all PS4 Systems coming out as 500gb for now?? If so thats great news as my ps3 is 320gb

Yes, the minimum reserve at GS is $100 for consoles, and $5 for accessories. I went and reserved one earlier too (in addition to Amazon).

Funny thing I notice, the placemarker price for COD Ghosts and Just Dance 14 was $999.99 lol. He said I was first person to mention it.

How much is the PS+ subscription?

Most likely it will remain the same, or they will bump it slightly. But as Zanner said, when you get a huge amount of titles for free, it's almost like your getting a refund.

I own 20+ games from PS Plus, that wouldn't surprise me that was around £200 in free games. PS Plus, IMHO, is a huge success.

What I'm really wanting to know, will The Last of Us be on PS4???? I no longer have a PS3 and want to play it!

Its meant to hit stores shortly, so.. tough to say. It may do if Sony thinks its worth doing

I do wonder what a company like EA is going to do. They made a big deal about the end of their "Online Pass" program. How will the new DRM work on PS4 will it be something similar to X1 or will it just be more code redemption like it is now. I will really be watching as I figure that either FIFA or Madden will be my launch day title, and I just want to know what EA's DRM strategy will be on PS4, out of my own curiosity.

How will the new DRM work on PS4 will it be something similar to X1 or will it just be more code redemption like it is now. I will really be watching as I figure that either FIFA or Madden will be my launch day title, and I just want to know what EA's DRM strategy will be on PS4, out of my own curiosity.

X1 will authenticate via their cloud. I guess if you attempt to put a used game in, it will connect to the cloud, and will not allow you to play it. I'm guessing...

Which makes EA's strategy even harder to figure out..?

I just don't see developers wanting to deliver their product in two different ways, but then again, if you're all ready developing for two different consoles, is it that far out of the question ?

Either way, the gamers are getting **** on. Sometimes I miss the days when gamers were a very niche group and it wasn't so popular to game.

What is Xbox's current model on XBOX live and multiple users on an Xbox? Does each have to have a live account?

On PS4, only one account on the machine will need to be PS+ for any account on the machine to be able to play online.

Times have changed unfortunately. People defend their games or criticise them like their favourite sports team. I don't know how it came about really. As you can see across some of these threads, people will put anything down on the table to prove their console is superior.

I'd almost like to say it came along with the development of online gaming, and the competitive nature. I remember when I used to play my PS1/2, and couldn't give a care in the world who had what and what was best.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and take a wild guess that EA will institute DRM on their PS4 titles, most likely using their servers to authenticate, every 5 minutes.
