The whole Amazon thing makes sense when I started thinking about it. I ordered when there was only one choice; however now when I click on launch edition it is sold out, but I DO get the yellow bar with instant order update saying I purchased this so I'm fairly certain I'm good to receive this on Launch day.

Issue was that Amazon likely got smashed with orders that they know they would not be able to fill on Launch day at the rate they were coming in, thus they needed to create a "launch" edition and a "standard edition" so that everyone ordering just one version wouldn't expect it on Release day. Now any one with Launch Edition can expect it on Release, and those with Standard Edition know that they'll have to wait until Amazon gets more in after launch.

Hopefully a lot in my boat that only had one type to order, will in fact get theirs on launch day and the order status changed - And sorry to those who this doesn't happen too, but for Amazon it's a lot better for them to screw a few people that ordered first than to have only one ps4 there and everyone ordering it from now until release day EXPECTING to get it on release day - That would have been a ton of complaints. But, at same time they should have seen this coming and already had it set up appropriately from the get go to automatically default to Launch Edition for all the first orders and then when those sold out, it's a lot more straight forward and easy to then choose Standard edition - Wouldn't be so much confusion.

Was about to flip my lid yesterday though, but took a second and saw what seems to be going on.

Madden 25, Battlefield 4, Watchdogs, and COD Ghosts for sure. Fifa 14 and NBA2k14 will be a toss up if I choose to get them. If EA UFC is a launch title then that will take up my last sports slot.

I'm going to try real hard not to overload myself with sports purchases this generation. That way I can really put the time into the couple I do get like they deserve.

Also was there any good Zombie titles mentioned coming for the PS4??

Although not technically a Zombie game, Outlast does look pretty good (think Amnesia: The Dark Descent). Ray's the Dead is an indie-zombie game (but more a comedy than anything). Dying Light is a zombie game, open world I believe.

Watchdogs and an extra control are definite purchases. I'm going to need the extra control for whichever sports game I choose to scoop up. Friends are going to want to come by and test out the PS4.

Madden 25 and NBA 2k14 are a toss up for me. On one hand I've been dieing for a new football game and now that the PS4 is purchased, NCAA 14 for the 360 becomes a no buy for me. On the other hand NBA 2k14 could be the smarter buy. My faith in EA to release a quality sports title at launch is extremely low.

Going to wait on reviews for each.

I say I'm only getting Battlefield 4 and possibly NBA 2k14, but you never know with me. I'm a sucker for sports game graphics on new generation consoles. I remember how enamored I was with NBA Live 07.

New consoles are really exciting. I remember how awesome playing a PS3 and 360 were for the first time.

BF4 is a for sure Day One buy

Madden is too since it's supposed to have the same features as Gen 3

and I'm 99% sure that NBA 2k is a for sure Day One buy as well. I just need more info on association mode first.

Now I just need to figure out a way to get paid for playing video games...

Watch Dogs and BF4 at launch. 2k later before Christmas.

GTA 5 in September.

PS4 in November(ish).

Can't wait.
