It's refreshing to see people who are devout PC Gamers also giving recognizition to the new consoles.

PC Gamer elitists have always got on my nerves big time.

It seems like with the price point being where it is, most will still pick up a PS4.

I fall in that PC elitist category, but I think the main thing non-PC gamers miss on that topic is that PC is better in almost every way. It is not a nose up in the air attitude where many of us PC gamers come from when discussing the two. I'm a pure gamer, meaning from damn near every console to a PC gamer for close to two decades. So my reasoning for gaming on both platforms falls to pros and cons.

PC has the advantage in powerful components able to push frame rates consoles beg for all the time, while maintaining resolutions consoles can't match. PC also has the benefit of extremely low game pricing even on brand new titles. Combine these positives and you got a strong contender over consoles.

Where PC falters is in price and accessibility. Many PC gamers take for granted how easy it is for us to game on this platform but plenty of non PC gamers would be lost having to manually download patches, find work arounds for bad driver versions and things of that nature.

For me where console shines is the ability to play games and mingle over the mic with my buddies who live far away and we don't get to hang out as much. Also throw in the fact it's easy as plug and go. (Plus almost all the sport titles)

So I see your point on what you are saying chase, I just wanted to point out that I think across the whole PC vs console is only among trolls, the majority that do both enjoy the strengths each have to offer.

I would say console games beat PC games in the stability area.

I love my PC gaming and for a few years during the PS2 days I went back and was all PC gaming. All in all it still is the best gaming experience. Until we get things like user modding etc.. on consoles, IMO PC will always be top.

If we could just get an updated NFL game on PC.

Love PC first and foremost. However, there are some awesome exclusives on the console the PC doesn't have.

Especially MLB The Show.

PS4/PC for the ultimate gaming combo.

I'm a PC guy but I'm no elitist....I do like having my rig to be as beastly as possible but I'm not one of those guys I've seen on PC forums where they go berserk over how the textures are so blurry....

Nah just playin you console peasants are lucky enough that the elite is responding in this thread.......

Not me. I'm keeping my 360 so I'll be playing GTA, Madden, NCAA, UFC 3 and WWE14 until next summer.

What people are underestimating is that at launch there typically arent a ton of games to play. Lets say there are 8-10 games at launch. About half of those games will be subpar. The other games may interest you but you probably will only be playing 2-3 games regularly the first few months.

I remember last launch, I had the 360 day 1. I bought Madden, Live, Project Gotham Racing and Perfect Dark Zero. Madden sucked. Live sucked. I got bored with PDZ after a week. So for the first two months, I was playing PGR and NBA2k after I traded Live in for that game.

I had 2k on release night and did not need any other games for a while. I remember trying out King Kong and a few others but I kept going back to 2k.

Fully expect the same thing this year.

That's what I never liked about commercials that tout how their product sells so well or how everyone is talking about it, or whatever. I basically say okay, good for you... then why are you telling us this too? Isn't word of mouth and quality assurance enough for ya'll?

I can see what makes PC good, but there's something about the console that I just need. Maybe it's the actual games, or maybe it's the consistency knowing what I'm getting out of each thing. I don't know. I just always preferred consoles.

I get pretty much everything and each systen has pluses and minuses.

Like em all but its ok to have a favorite.

I've always wanted a decent PC to game on, but these days a console is more convenient for me.

I did once have one good enough to play Battlefield 2 and the original Halo online.

Outside of that the only PC gaming I've done is Sims, drag racing, hunting, Diablo 2, and a few text Sims.

I was just referring to the folks who think they are so much better for playing on PC and just love interjecting in every conversation and thread to let people know PC is superior.

None of you guys, I'm sure...
