The only time the in-game music has come up for me is playing Halo on my 360. It puts me in a really good mood.

Everything else I play, I prefer to hear the atmosphere and what's going on (Battlefield, NCAA, etc).

If they give Microsoft too much leeway, they'll try and match Sony if they can.

Then to them it doesn't really matter if they tell you the release date, no offense. When they release it is when they release it. Them telling you shouldn't change a thing in your eyes, if you truly don't think it'll change a thing in Microsoft's eyes (the more threatening party here).

Yeah, neither wants to go first while there's still time to change it...

Just makes sense....both MS and Sony would like to be first if at all possible.

Not even big deal, mute the TV and play the music from your computer.

It's a huge deal when you have a THX 7.1 surround sound system that you paid big $$$ for..

With that being said I thought I read somewhere that the MS Patent expired and that's why PS4 would be allowing it, but haven't been able to find any confirmation..

Thankfully, I have one.

Won't replace my Klipsch towers, though. An extra set also can't fit in my bedroom.

Yeah my receiver is Zone 2 capable but I'm not buying extra speakers when I've invested huge amounts into the Klipsches I have and they are mounted all over the den.

More of a rumor at this point, but what better way to show confidence in your product than to go ahead and announce the date regardless of what MS will do.

I don't think MS could release early anyway after all the BS they tried to pull and revisions they have done.

Try to sale a product with no confidence and see how far it goes. Ask MS that when it comes to their tablets and operating system struggles. Bad press and reviews done them in before they even sold the first thing. They were heading the same way with the One before their 180.

Like for walkup music, we could cue songs to our players manually if we wanted to. I'd just prefer the game did it though.

MLB The Show has the ability to use custom soundtrack and custom walkup music. There are a bunch of games (mostly sports) that already have this feature built in. (Not enough though)
