It has been mandated every game will have remote play. Up to them and developers to execute it. Wondering how well the social and other features will work over it or if you're restricted to gaming only, potential lag for multiplayer, etc.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
So is there anything other than remote play in store for the Vita with the PS4? And how flushed out is this remote play thing, will I be able to play any game on my PS4 through the Vita? I haven't touched my Vita in months, March to be exact, and really have no plans to. Just wondering if somehow the PS4 will save it, although playing a PS4 through the Vita doesn't do much for me either.
The difference for me really has to do with the fact that I don't own a Smartphone, so it does things for me in the mobile aspect that everyone else might already have as another option.
Regardless, I'm excited that my Vita will get more use, even through the extension of a PS4.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

The lack of games just made we wish I never got it. I love the system but the games are non existent.Comment

I think the Vita has plenty of games. I have games (PS+) that i have yet to play that are full fledged releases (e.g. Gravity Rush, WipEout 2048, Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention, etc.) in addition to the more arcade titles. I never bought P4G or Soul Sacrifice, as I'm not really into RPGs.
Vita also has the social apps that the consoles have, plus more.
Anyway, just curious.
Edit: I realized this is in the PS4 thread, so it's probably off-topic. Sorta lol.

EDIT: That controller light reflecting off the tv is really bothering me. Maybe it won't be as bad if I was actually playing and focusing on the game.Last edited by mikenoob; 08-06-2013, 05:47 PM.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Does anyone know if the PS4 will allow us to stream our own music at anytime while playing a game like the Xbox 360 does (and the PS3 doesn't)?
This is a huge deal to me as I like to kick back on the weekends, drink some beer, listen to my own music and game..Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20
or Tiktok https://www.tiktok.com/@shaunh741

THIS. That's literally the only thing I miss from my 360. Especially with sports games. I get so sick of those soundtracks, no matter how good they are.Kansas City Royals | FC Barcelona | New Orleans Pelicans

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I think most of Sony's answers comes from the companies they've signed with, such as Gaikai and Music Unlimited (Qriocity).

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I don't think there was exclusivity involved there, just a matter of OS/hardware capabilities. The deals you mentioned are just for revenue generating services they're going to sell to us. They likely weren't able to add this for reasons similar to why they were never able to add party chat.
With multitasking and whatnot being core to both consoles I think it's reasonable to expect we'll be able to play music while doing other things on the PS4.Last edited by mestevo; 08-07-2013, 12:41 AM.Comment

No biggie I guess.
It didn't say in that article but I wonder how long they hold that patent for?
I'm assuming the Vita can do it because it's a handheld and not a console by definition?Comment
