I'll probably try to end up with 2 by the end of the year.
One PS4 for PSN and keeping updated/playing. The second will be kept in the box until the hacks/custom firmwares/homebrew scene gets rolling.badComment

You could make a decent profit trying to flip several, but It's just not something I would really want to do. I'd consider flipping one, in order to cover the cost of my own, but that's about it.
At some point I have to draw the line. I'm honestly hoping something ridiculous, unlikely, and unexpected happens and they aren't hard to find and people don't make a huge profit off of their fellow gamers.
Again, It probably won't happen, but I would like to see some people with several consoles only valued at their original price

What are the current features/benefits of PSN (and PS+) and what are the proposed changes for the PS4?
I keep seeing this XBL back and forth, but outside of multiplayer it has done nothing for me.

Benefits? Free games. Good games, at that. It's cheap. I've run into 1,000,000 times less immature players than on XBL (mic isn't required, less asshattery.)
Negatives? Mic isn't required, so it's fairly quiet (if you're one of those people that likes team chat in game.) If that's a negative for you. Current PS3 has no party chat, if that matters to you.
Changes? They are adding party chat. Gaikai classics streaming gives you a huge library that no system can touch.
Give me PS+ over XBL any day of the week - I've never had any issues with it in the year+ I've been subscribed. There really isn't too much of a difference between them, when all is said and done though. PS+ wins on virtue of the games they give away for free (and the list is updated monthly.)badComment

The Gaikai classics streaming is what really excites me especially since I never owned a PS3.
How will PSN "arcade" titles carryover, the same way?

I really liked the times trials and discounts on games . Ps+ is a good deal. And yes the gamers are more mature , well older, than xbl. I don't run into near as many kids. Still meet *******s though lol.#1 Laker fan

For me, PS+ --> Free games each week and the deals on some of the games. For example last week two games to note that were free were Uncharted 3 and Xcom, before that Deus Ex Human Revolution, Sleeping Dogs, Infamous , Just Cause 2, and then this week is Saints Row 3rd
Is what's on this week, and this is ongoing in addition to price cuts for full games and also indie games.
Also get to play like an hour or two of the full game for free on some before buying. These are the biggest things for me is being able to play a lot of quality games I missed out on for free. And then on others on my vita buying for like $5 when they're on sale.
And for PS4 I know Drive Club will be available at launch for free for PS+ customers, and 3 Indie games as well.Last edited by zanner; 06-18-2013, 01:10 PM.Comment

I've met my fair share of asshats on both consoles, but I did notice playing BF3 extensively on both that I get more hate mail and random dumb messages on XBL.
Chase, they have featured games each month. You don't have to download them at the time they are featured as long as you "purchase" them in the store. You just have to go back and download them later. The games I have downloaded were all solid. Infamous, LBP2, Sleeping Dogs, The Cave, Dark Souls, Uncharted 3, etc. I've also got several VITA titles free all with the same subscription to PS+.
You can still chat in game with PS3 and party chat, but no party chat in game. Its handy on the 360 when we have a bunch of OS in a game of BF3. It also seems to make it more enjoyable when we get split up on teams.Comment

So, there's no limit on free game downloads? I mean, I saw 5 games I would download today if I had PS3. Certainly beats the hell out of 2 games a month.
