Honest opinion : With launch day, will there be enough demand and too few units for it to be worth picking up a second launch day unit?

Like what can be made off of it, is $150-200 or more in profit a solid possibility or not likely?

I'm debating ordering another but as my wife says : if it's gonna be a small amount or break even then I can't lol

I paid $200 over retail to get a ps2 on launch day. I made $700 profit last launch day with one Xbox360. Never underestimate what americans will pay in order to get a console day 1. People get caught up in the hype and are willing to pay obscene amounts. Worse case scenario, if demand isnt there, you just return the console and get ur money back.

I paid $200 over retail to get a ps2 on launch day. I made $700 profit last launch day with one Xbox360. Never underestimate what americans will pay in order to get a console day 1. People get caught up in the hype and are willing to pay obscene amounts. Worse case scenario, if demand isnt there, you just return the console and get ur money back.

Exactly, there isnt really a lose situation for anyone preordering an extra console. At the very worst, you will break even.

I have this and the One pre-ordered. 90% chance at least one of them will be sold. I'm about 50/50 on them both being sold right now. That's a good amount of possible extra cash, and I don't think the wait afterwards will be too long.

As a tech nut and gamer nut.. Waiting just 1 day longer to fire up a new console would be too long.

To me it's simply one of the reasons I game, for moments like new release console nights etc..

I cherish that more than making a buck...
Now if I had a 2nd system yeah.. but bottom line is I'm opening and gaming on 1 - the first second I can.

For anyone with a credit card with a big enough credit limit, this is a no brainer. That way you arent spending cash to buy the extra ps4.

My plan is to use the one I get from Amazon and sell my Best Buy one the same day.

I cherish it too, but I could use some extra cash (just like most college students). The biggest reason that I'm starting to feel like selling it though is because the stuff I'm looking forward to the most is still on the current gen.

This is one of the reasons I love my Amex. Got three systems reserved 2 PS4s and a XB1. Will be selling one of each to pay the bill and hopefully make a few bucks. Worst case scenario I can pay off all three with my profits and get my PS4 for free.

I was so pumped when I seen this this morning! I was worried about not being able to play for at least a month after release. I canceled my standard edition and pre-ordered the Killzone bundle. Not a big fan of Killzone but I already have BF4 and Watch Dogs pre-ordered and Knack doesn't interest me so that was my only option. It does look good though.

For me it's all about finding the time. Having been a gamer since 5 years old, 30 this year, not ripping open that box day 1 is going to hurt. But with real life, a la kids, work etc, its just hard to find the time. And hard to justify buying a system + 2-3 games just before the holidays.

I'm a huge sucker for technology, and it's going to PAIN my soul... but I am willing to wait. Let GTA tide me over. I'll likely sell my launch day pre order shortly after launch in hopes to make up some of the difference to buy a Ps4 a few months later.

Any word on whether or not my wired Turtle Beach P11 headset will work with the PS4? I'm not much for splurging on a nice headset, as it's sole purpose is to keep the noise down with the kids in bed. I'd rather not drop more money at launch on a new wireless headset.

My Kids only 4 months old. Im getting the PS4 at launch "for him". I gotta make sure it works though

I feel like MS and Sony learned their lesson last generation. I really don't think there will be much of a "second market" this generation. I just got an email from Gamestop showing three stores in my area that just released more launch day systems (XB1 and PS4) for preorder.

Exactly. Am I going overboard with 4 preorders? Maybe, maybe not..

Even if I just come out $100 on top of the other 3 each, that leaves the one I keep for $100. Worst case scenario, return them and pay full price..begrudgingly..
